@business Hindenburg shorted the stock. SEC filed charges. DOJ opened a criminal case. 18 months later — Adani pays $6M, walks free, and Modi's infrastructure agenda rolls on. The empire bends. It doesn't break.

Big win for India! The US Justice Dept is reportedly moving to drop charges against Gautam Adani. This shows that real growth and strategic investment speak louder than legal hurdles. A major relief for the Adani Group that clears the path for more global expansion and strengthens India’s economic rise. 🇮🇳

Get ready for a flood of negative news and fake stories from foreign media like Reuters and Bloomberg. This is a clear attempt to confuse people and create chaos in India, but it’s going to fail. These "Deep State" groups don't realize that the Indian public has stopped trusting Western lectures. Instead of breaking the government’s support, this outside pressure is only making the people more united and aware of the propaganda. They are using an old playbook that just doesn't work on the new India.

It's very clear seeing the leading signals on social media: Every news, and more fake news, are going to be used by the DS to instigate Indians against the PM and GoI in the coming months. It's going to be a barrage, no a deluge, of negative news (mainly Reuters, Bloomberg, WSJ, FT) and propaganda to try disillusion the most hardcore supporters. To prepare the base for protests and anarchy to try create govt instability in India. But they will fail in the end. Because these losers, the communists and islamists, don't get India.

@aravind @FareedZakaria Pakistan exports disinformation at scale. Fake accounts, manufactured outrage, foreign handlers. Platforms take the ad money and look away. India has the laws on paper. Enforcement? Nowhere. You can't fight an information war while pretending it isn't one.

Pakistan's fake news factory is doing everything to promote itself and destroy the credibility of US, India, etc around the world. It is also exploiting internal fractures to divide our democracies using fake accounts at the behest of another power. Hope one day you will do a segment on it in GPS.

Vijay gets unfair flak on some counts — the folded hands moment was basic courtesy, not ideology. But dodging the assembly floor for a Twitter thread? That's a habit he must not form. Social media is for fans. Assembly is for governance. Mandate is strong. Time will tell if the man grows into the chair.

Was going through this morning yesterday's political happenings in Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister Vijay is mocked because he did not answer certain accusations immediately in assembly but instead chose to give a long response through a post in Twitter. Unlike other leaders before, Vijay do not have any long experience in assembly or parliament. He has immediately become Chief Minister after forming the party. It would definitely take some time for him to get hands on in administrative and political functioning. The fact is Tamil Nadu people has wanted him to be the Chief Minister. It is rare to earn that kind of trust. It is relatively easier to pick political and administrative experience over a period of time. Also some handles have accused Vijay of acknowledging what Udayanidhi said on Sanathana. I saw the video this morning. After every party representative's speech in assembly, Vijay acknowledged them with folded hands. He did the same for Udayanidhi too. Be it opposition parties or those who don't like Vijay, it is unfair to be critical of him from day one like this. He needs to be given 6 months to 1 year to get a grip on lot of things. Chief Minister Vijay is having strong people's mandate. So it is fair we give him some time.

When Udayanidhi Stalin repeatedly attacks "sanathanam" in Tamil, why is there not more outrage among the highly religious Tamil Hindu population? I believe it comes down to language. In Tamil language, the word "sanathanam" (eternal in English) is not in regular use. Most Tamil people do not know this word and I did not know it myself as a child. On the other hand the word "dharma" (spelled as "dharmam" or "dharumam") is common in Tamil and there is a district named Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu. There is also the word "aram" used in Tamil with the same meaning as dharma. Interestingly, in Hindi, the word "dharam" means "religion" in general and Hinduism is "hindu dharm" or "sanatan dharam" and Christianity is "isai dharam" in Hindi. But in Tamil usage, the word "dharmam" would effectively mean "Hindu dharam" in Hindi. Now if Udayanidhi had attacked "dharmam" in Tamil (which effectively means Hinduism) he would be widely criticised for proclaiming adharmam. That is why he is picking the word "sanathanam" to attack because that word is not widely known in Tamil. With all his "sincere" effort, he is making the word known in Tamil too and he has made the already huge anti DMK vote in Tamil Nadu even bigger. The DMK has never won a majority on its own ever, because of that huge strong anti-DMK current. They established that current with their constant attacks on Hindu deities. The AIADMK never did that and they harvested the anti-DMK current well. Now, in spite of the TVK being the new anti-DMK party and in spite of the AIADMK splitting the anti-DMK vote (see how I worked it!) and in spite of the DMK spending extraordinary amounts of cash, in spite of the DMK having a strong alliance and the TVK having no alliance, the DMK lost the election. Udayanidhi wants to ensure the DMK would never come back. May the eternal sanatana dharma grant his wish 🙏😉

Government's effort to diffuse fake news industry is negligible. They don't react, until the rumour reaches epic proportions and causes disruptions. Very sorry state of affairs, as enemy states uses this weakness time and again. Hoping someday they will wake up from the derp slumber

Why so many fake news keep popping up like this? NITI must recommend GoI to take this menace seriously. Indian media is being gamed from the outside. Indian social media is being manipulated by adversaries. And foreign media are being used to spread blatant fake news. A military and economic power of $4.5 trillion can no longer be so weak and apathetic in fighting this menace.

Delhi. Same week. Two visits. 🇺🇸 Trump in Beijing 🇷🇺 Lavrov in Delhi India engaging both — not by choice, but by necessity. Russian oil. Chinese supply chains. American technology. India depends on all three. 🇮🇳 Diplomacy looks like strategy. But it's mostly damage control. Navigating a complex world — one visit at a time. 🌏
