One of BJPs biggest achievements is outing communal bigots in our social circle.
Friends we once considered sane, thinking individuals now spend their days ranting against “anti-nationals” who are doing a big disservice to the nation by criticising their beloved party’s authoritarian ways. They think the only way to deal with legitimate criticism of the govt’s functioning and policies is to tighten treason laws and put their critics behind bars or worse.
BJP doesn’t need Gyanesh Kumar to stay in power. They have their army of foot soldiers who normalise hate and silence dissent for them.

If India survives Modi. That's a big if. So far, there's no sign of being able to run the country for the well-being of the masses, while there is every sign that he will hold on to power by hook or by crook - mostly by crook - by compromising institutions or outright violence.
By the time the public gets disillusioned enough, there will be little left to loot - but also no resources to rebuild with. Newer generations are growing up entirely out of touch with reality or the building blocks of civilization, so to say. Rational thinking is at an all time low. I seriously don't think our grandparents were as dumb as our contemporaries.
So far the Modi Era is looking more like the end of India than just a dark age to recover from.

I am so heartbroken.
Israel has just shot my 30-year-old aunt in the chest while she was sitting with her three young children in a school shelter in Jabalia Camp. She is in critical condition; the bullet pierced her chest and exited through her back, devastating her lungs and spleen.
At the moment she was hit, she was holding her one-year-old son. He fell from her lap as she collapsed and was found bleeding from one of his ears.
I just spoke with my uncle, who told me that Israel has been using subsonic bullets lately. He said his sister is the second mother in the camp to be shot in the chest today.
Please pray for her and our family. Her husband was abducted by Israel in November 2024, and we still have no word on his condition.

Look at the unfolding of events !!
1. Bro starts a party
2. Bro was provided Y category security even without asking - by the same logic why was Kamal not provided?
3. Karur incident happens and the matter is hurriedly referred to CbI enquiry and every care is made to ensure he is not named as one among prime accused but just a witness
4. Every media screams even his smallest move like travelling from Panaiyur house to Neelankarai house
5. Hardly does any campaigning but displays massive crowds in little campaigns he did which is obviously inorganic
6. Contests elections and one exit pollster gives him an unbelievably massive mandate
7. At the same time reduces the 2nd largest state party and alliance partner of ruling party in the centre to 20-30
Do you not see a proxy operator who is using him as a puppet to capture TN which otherwise logically is impossible to capture through elections?

At the security in Delhi airport. The security guy, likely from Odisha from his name, saw my attire and guessed I must be from Tamil Nadu and excitedly asked "Sir, Vijay Thalapathi win?" 🤓 Day before yesterday, a politically savvy farmer in my village, not a big movie fan, told me "Vijay is going to cause a surprise in our booth". He used to be a volunteer for Annamalai. As a Thuglak analysis said recently, the Vijay phenomenon in Tamil Nadu should not be dismissed as "movies" or "glamour" - a lot of people from various walks of life are pouring their hope for change on him. The reason exit polls should not be relied upon is that in a 3 party context, where the new party pulls voters from every side, we cannot know who will win. I still think either DMK or AIADMK will win, due to their far better ground level organization and money, but Vijay's political rise is remarkable, in such a short span of time.
