Because the experts cannot agree, that’s why I’m going with mother’s instinct to form my opinion. There’s no way to know for sure, but it is still a likely possibility

Tara Calico was a 19-year-old University of New Mexico student who disappeared in 1988 while riding her bike. Months later, a photo found in a Florida parking lot showed a bound and gagged girl who looked like her, alongside a boy. Tara was never found, and no arrests were ever made.

You would need to get off X and actually follow-up on the exhaustive investigation and not rely on the extremely outdated assumptions in this post.
