Being reminded recently of the book, Control and Sexuality. This book shows how the dress becomes a visible, enforceable proxy for morality & public presence, especially of women. Regulating clothing makes bodies legible to power and discipline. Highly recommend reading it.

@Midhuamsaud I think there are many island with the will to do this, but the hurdle is the grid. Most run on diesel systems managed by Fenaka/STELCO, not built for high solar. So even if communities are ready, going fully solar needs major grid upgrades, storage, and utility approvals
