Gap between two candidates from the same Ivy is insane People who did their undergrad there are way sharper than people who only did grad school there Harvard and Yale undergrad acceptance rates are below 6%. Some of the grad programs above 50% Grad school is almost no signal

@itsnotbernhard Master programs are almost always cash cows. But PhD programs at times (if not most for ivy leagues) are way more selective than undergrad. MIT / Stanford CS PhD acceptance rate is probably under 1%.

@itsnotbernhard imo grad school that isn't a PhD usually says nothing about that person's capabilities beyond what they had at undergrad. PhD at Ivies do signal some level of selection, though usually it incentivizes more neurodivergent smarts than the smart and bright but neurotypical student
