For anyone wondering about recommendations and the process of choosing a good interface: - Look for low self-noise in the pre-amp. Lower the self-noise, better the quality of your recording comes out. - See how much gain the pre-amo has. Most mocrophones don't need much, but if you are running hungry mics like a Shure SM7b, you might wanna get something with 70db and more. - Realistically speaking, you don't need more than 24-bit 48kHz, but 32-bit and 192kHz doesn't hurt - DSPs are good, but they significantly increase the price of a unit. DSPs are onboard processors that allow you to process some of your vocals on the interface instead of your machine. So that means less delay and less asynchronization issues. Good bonus, but not necessary. I currently use an Audient iD14 MK2 and it's fantastic. The preamp is clear and the gain is great for my SM7b. I however still have to use a cloudlifter for my desired sound. Gain dial is usually at 1-2 o'clock.

On top of that, for crowdfunded items, if the item ends up cheaper than when you initially added it, they will pocket the difference without it notifying you. The whole operation is very shady and lacks transparency. I am a Throne Partner, however am looking for an alternative that won't exploit both me and my community.

So @official_throne do you still mark up the prices on things people add even with Prime shipping and require a "shipping protection" fee? Because that's why I largely stopped using your website. Inquiring minds want to know.

🛠️ We have resolved the issue causing some past broadcast VODs to be corrupted upon creation. Some VODs that started during this issue between 6PM and 10PM PST on Thursday 12th of Feb may still be affected.

The ordering is manual, so I see zero reason for them not to just credit the account, just as hands-off. Also, the funny part is that they will notify you in multiple places if the crowdfunded amount was less than the adjusted price. I had as little as $0.40 stop them from ordering lol.

PSA for vtubers + streamers regarding Throne: If you add a gift to your Throne and the option you put isn't available when it's funded, Throne will default to the cheapest option and NOT automatically refund you the difference, they WILL pocket the extra, in my case almost $80. This lead to a long chat where the customer service rep blamed me for not setting the right price, despite it being correct when I added it over a year ago.

I am becoming progressively more worried for our humanity due to extensively terrifying improvements to AI generated content media. From blatant misinformation to even the recent commercial adaptations of AI (acquisition of Suno into the music industry) WHICH NOBODY NEEDS. We need artists to thrive - not feel discouraged. Please be weary with what you see or hear online, contemporary media feels like nothing is real anymore. AI sucks and we need to stand up against it.

Actually got my 2017 mbp replaced in a similar manner after a failed keyboard replacement (full topcase on those models). Got bumped to 64GB instead of my 32 and an i9 instead of i7. That was the closest one they had to my spec they had in stock. Restored from iCloud and was happy
