What? Just port forward on a random PC on your network and be done. I was doing it on dialup back when I was a kid, yes you dont gotta port forward with dialup, but when I first got DSL that used a router back in the day - granted it wasn't the best experience because of disconnects with dialup and slow DSL, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out, I was literally like 8 an figured it out. And guess what - the player count doesn't matter, if I wanted I could STILL host a server for it and have people join and play, whether there is a master server or not. This entire cloud networking approach is total trash and I wished it never existed. Not only is it totally unsecure (for indies) as they don't have access to most source codes to prevent cheating, at least with a dedicated direct IP connect server (without the list), you can literally manage your own server and prevent cheating, and guess what - still accept connections to play 100 years from now.

So funny watching games without community hosted servers shut down. "Oh no we can't afford to pay for our game servers... guess we'll just shut everything down and screw over everyone who bought our game" 💀 We allow our community to host their own servers. We'll never die. @OpHarshDoorstop
