@BrianZisook it’s a catch 22 really. if he submits it in time for the credits to update completely the album will be most likely leaked. Tough spot to be in and as far as I know Drake has always been credible when it comes to giving out credit.

It is NOT "standard practice" for an artist, label, or DSP to withhold credits. If credits don't appear upon release, the decision is either intentional or negligence. Here are the credits for four projects released today, two major-label and two indie, to cover all bases.

@BrianZisook You cant on one hand acknowledge that this isn't specifically a Drake issue and then on the other still primarily target him as responsible. I know you know (or at least you do now) that this is standard practice in the music industry. Production creds. take a couple days.

@BrianZisook Also, the record has only made 80k (just spotify, do double it and it’s ~150k) I am sure there are many recoupable expenses that have not made its threshold yet. Also, she said a lawyer cost 10k I haven’t met one ent. lawyer that doesn’t work on a 5% basis and not a flat fee

Many young producers assume backend royalties just appear. They don’t. The system makes you claim what is yours.
I checked Songview and the MLC, Sovren, and it appears you aren’t registered with a PRO or the MLC. You have no IPI number.

was never paid any royalties… was crazy is I coulda ate for a couple more nights wit it. but that’s the industry. that’s why I haven’t had the willpower to continue on. what I’m owed I don’t never get. I didn’t get a dime in royalties for this song, biggest posse cut this era.
