Men are such selfish and jealous beings. My friend had cancer for 2 years and she was saving for a solo trip she’d dreamed about since college, somewhere quiet to write. She told him it was her “one selfish thing.” He encouraged it, said he was proud, she can visit after her recovery. A few weeks later when she finally recovered & was thinking of leaving for the trip, he used the credit card they shared (the one she paid most of) to book himself and his buddies a weekend getaway to Vegas. When she saw the charge, he shrugged & said: “You’re always talking about doing things for yourself, so I figured I should too. I also deserve a reward for taking care of you when you were bedridden”.....Thak man took her dream budget and made it about him.
