Some of the most notable trends: Job requirements have increased significantly but not benefits, and DEI language is a lot more toned down now. Job titles also got a lot more inflated and nebulous — essentially a way for companies to add more responsibilities to one job.

@Robyn_Mowatt Appreciate the feedback! Yeah, I feel like the colorism and racial dynamics could be its own story — a lot to unpack there. Something I'm planning to dig into for a future LF issue.

sooooo many black writers and journalists are struggling or severely underpaid rn. and media workers; great story, but would’ve liked to see more women of color discussing how they’ve completely left media or pivoted… colorism + racism running rampant still. it’s a mess!

I feel like a lot of us who started their careers during that hustle culture ‘Girlboss’ era of the late 2000s-mid 2010s are tired af and have no desire to climb up the ladder anymore. Myself included!
