The acclaimed novelist, historian and cookery writer Len Deighton, who redefined spy thrillers, has died aged 97. His first novel The IPCRESS File, published in 1962, was a best-seller in the UK, France and the US, selling more than 2.5 million copies in three years.

Yesterday, the weather in Rabat was rainy. The Moroccans have been stealing the towels of rivals goalkeepers all tournament long. Mendy's towel was stolen TWICE. On the third occasion, Senegal's backup goalkeeper Yehvan Diouf had to stand behind the post throughout the game, handing Edouard Mendy his towel. He also had to fight off ball boys and Moroccan players. A Real Soldier.💪🇸🇳

Shout out to the #bondi beach life guard who, while there was shots being fired and we were all ducking for cover behind their buggy, noticed someone in the water struggling so grabbed a board and went to rescue them

I was on the Huntingdon train. I only know of one attacker, he got on the train from Peterborough. He was black mid 20’s. We ran from the back of the train to the end as everyone was screaming to run, explaining there was somebody stabbing everyone and everything. 1/
