What an amazing week so far! Shout out the @WolvesDAO for helping with my GDC travel logistics, wouldn't be here without them Obviously all of it wouldn't be possible without the sponsors YGG, Opens, Origins TCG Couldn't pass up on a full week of fun and content with my favourite people Been at most if not all the Wolves Dens and hope to continue that Met with the Origins team a few GDCs back and it has been super cool to see them to continue to grow out the main game Landed and grinded a ton of games with Sam and Dub Managed to get second in the online tournament and third in the in person tournament Even after finishing up tournament prep, the whole group continued to play games and build new decks to experiment with Proud to be part of the gaming council to help make the game as fun as possible

@NullSeed gotcha I think that's slightly better but with how difficult it is to get competitive decks with no way around dupes right now it still isn't super worth it

@itzBolt Small correction, the prize is a founders key with the 90 card pack bundle + shi-no-shi card not yet claimed. Those are currently going for around $230 on the secondary market. The price you mention is for a key with the packs claimed.

Was super interested in applying to the colosseum since I am currently sitting around top 100 However the prize pool for the event was really disappointing Imagine playing 45 min to 2 hours every week for 6 weeks Your top prize is a founders key (~$85) The cards you acquired for your decks to be competitive costs much more because you need multiple decks I actually really like the unique mechanics of the game with income and combat Just sad to see the competitive formats with lack of good incentives

@SinjinMAYG Ehhh i dont really care about making ROI back playing a game But when its specifically a tournament I feel like if they want to push esports side of things it should have a bigger prize pool

I played magic for like 3hrs everyday for 1 year and made nothing cause my older brother sold my edition 1 deck for weed when I wasn't home for a month. But can you resell and trade your cards? What is your expectation on ROI here because it seems like that is your main reason for playing? I mean say you get back $20 a month playing a game you love, would you be happy or just meh?
