But what I want to highlight is this, after everything she’s been through, it’s her family that has been there taking care of her, not a single one of her campus friends has shown up to support or cater to her. If you’ve been listening to some of the toxic advice on this space telling you not to show up for your family when they need you, you are only doing yourself. No one will ever love you the way your family does. They are the ones who will stand by you during your darkest times, no matter what. Cherish them while you still have them.
