Women are not weird. They are simply less behaviorally conditioned, adulterated than men.
The most seemingly "animalistic" thing a woman does is what a man would do without layers of education, religion, or ethics.
The problem of the male is in the brain.
He absorbs conditioning and ideologies better than the female. He is, therefore, more prone to think and behave in conformity to standards - moral and ethical - than the female.
So a woman does what feels good in the moment. A man does what is, by established standards, good.
The problem, then, is that men go into relationships with women expecting them to operate by that same standard.
So a religious brother goes into a relationship with a religious sister and expects her to be fully absorbed in the doctrines of their religion, just as he is, in his inclination to think and rationalize, fully absorbed in it. He assumes his church-going girlfriend cannot cheat while he is gone on a two-year business trip. He assumes his “good girl” girlfriend does not yearn for rough sex, so he f*cks her slowly - in the “holy” boring way - or he remains celibate with her, as their faith commands. And he is later heartbroken by the realization that, all the while, his girl was getting the d*ck from youth pastor, the reverend, a neighbor’s husband, her boss, or a married colleague - roughly and unholy.
The religious brother expects consistency because he himself is governed by it. But for her, belief may coexist with impulse, emotion, and circumstance. Not necessarily out of malice, but because her orientation is not anchored in rigid adherence the way his is.
The same painful fate is met by the “woke” man who marries a “woke” woman with the 50/50 concept in view. While he is, by reason, a believer in such a concept and is thus strongly bonded to it, his wife, being a woman, does not share the same level of conviction and adherence to the concept and is, therefore, likely to break its foundational and functional rules.
Hence the woke man ends up learning, painfully, that no woman can practice the 50/50 concept faultlessly, because women do not have the reasoning discipline to stick to order.
Women relates to idea situationally, not doctrinally. Accepting it when it feels right, bending it when it does not. Again, the man learns the hard way.
So while the male thinks in concepts and systems, the female thinks in moments. And this disparity, unknown to men, makes them expect order from women, and with that expectation, asymmetrical investment.
You see, women exist predominantly in the base state of the human species: animalistic, instinctive, whimsical. Conversely, men exist primarily in the evolved state: thinking, discerning, stable. Thus, out of touch with the emotional vagaries their female contemporaries embody, they consequently expect order from the female - a gender not designed for order.
The whole point is: Men tend to operate more on abstract systems and ideals, while women tend to respond more to immediate emotional and situational factors. And this mismatch creates relationship friction.

Lazarus Edward Nnanyelu Ekwueme, popularly known as Laz Ekwueme, is recognised as Nigeria’s first Professor of Music. Ekwueme, who is also a traditional ruler (Igwe of Oko Kingdom), played a pioneering role in establishing formal music education in Nigerian universities.
His older brother was Alex Ekwueme, who later became Nigeria’s first elected vice-president.
Ekwueme’s formal education in music began at Government College, Umuahia, where he completed his secondary schooling. From there, he continued his studies in the United Kingdom, earning a Bachelor of Music from Durham University. While in Britain, Ekwueme embraced the performing arts and appeared in productions for the BBC African Service, combining his musical training with acting and performance.
In 1964, he returned to Nigeria to take up a faculty position at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he was part of the pioneering team that established the country's first university-level music programme. There, he taught music composition, theory, history, singing and conducting, and organised the University of Nigeria Choral Society, a group that brought together Nigerian and international students for regular performances.
Ekwueme continued his studies in the United States, earning a PhD in Music Theory from Yale University in 1972 with a thesis titled “Ibo Choral Music: Its Theory and Practice,” which explored indigenous African musical structures within academic frameworks. At Yale, he also founded the New Haven International Chorus.
Upon returning to Nigeria in 1974, he joined the University of Lagos as a professor and research fellow, where he became one of the most influential figures in Nigerian music education. For 10 years (1988-1998), he was the Public Orator for the University of Lagos.
In Lagos, he formed the Laz Ekwueme National Chorale, a professional ensemble acclaimed for its innovative blend of African musical forms and Western techniques, and for its performances at international cultural festivals. He also served as coordinator of the Nigerian National Choir at FESTAC 1977.
Ekwueme’s scholarship has emphasised the link between African musical traditions and their diasporic expressions, examining how indigenous rhythms and melodies resonate in music across the Atlantic and in the New World.
His academic writings include Teasers: Poems, Proverbs, and Puns (1993), Choir Training and Choral Conducting for Africans (1993), and Essays on the Theory of African Music (2004). His compositions, ranging from choral works such as Missa Africana to songs and arrangements like Nwa n’akwa akwa (1972) and Obi Dimkpa (1980), continue to be performed and studied worldwide.
Beyond academia and composition, Ekwueme has also been active in theatre, film, and cultural leadership, featuring in Nigerian films and performing in stage productions that reflect his deep engagement with both heritage and contemporary artistic expression.
In recognition of his contributions to scholarship, performance, and cultural diplomacy, he has received numerous honours, including the Nigerian National Order of Merit (NNOM), the Order of the Niger (OON and CON), and the title Professor Emeritus from the University of Lagos. He has also been influential in music education across Africa, training generations of musicians, composers, and scholars.
On May 2, 2003, after a distinguished academic career of nearly 40 years, Ekwueme ascended the throne of his ancestors in Oko as Igwe (Professor) Lazarus Ekwueme IV, Nnanyelugo Ogbonnaya Nwovuegbe, Eze Ijikala II, Ozioko Igwe Oko, continuing his lifelong dedication to cultural and community leadership.
Now 91 years old, Professor Lazarus Ekwueme is celebrated as a towering figure in African musicology. He is a scholar, teacher, composer, performer, conductor, and monarch whose work has advanced the understanding and appreciation of African music both at home and abroad. #HistoryVille
