The 5,000-year-old civilisation in this region was the Indus Valley, which is modern day Pakistan, not India, and that region (Wad-e-Sind) has always remained separate from the Indian Vedic civilisation (the Hind). People of Pakistani Sindh and Punjab (up to Kashmir) are basically descendants of the IVC. In fact, Indians don’t even have their own name; they have borrowed their name India from Pakistan’s Indus River.
