@asaio87 and from my experience, AI will make some tiny mistakes in the code at times

@asaio87 it's true a lot of people think "I can build anything with AI" but that ain't true if you don't know the fundamentals of what you're trynna create, you can't create it building stuff is not just about typing the code

I just tried to "vibecode" a very complex marketplace website without writing a single line of code its a multi-seller marketplace website using chat gpt 5.5 with codex using laravel 12 (very common framework) things are going good but as im getting more into the heavy coding it becomes more technical need to do lots of back and forth and I know what to prompt it to do I am sorry to say but if you are a vibecoder who has no idea about coding there 0% chance you will ever create a working production app yea, you will be able to create a simple app, maybe a template that costs 30$ or something, but thats about it and these guys push this idiocracy with vibecoding so much to make stupid people buy tokens

@asaio87 plus AI will write the code but if you don't even know how to change a thing in the code, maintenance is gonna be hectic I saw a meme the other day about someone asking AI to change padding from 10pz to 15pz 😂

@asaio87 perhaps people forgot that before AI coding assistants came you could get source code of an entire web application and still fail to make it a real application

@NoahKingJr I can attend tech events, tell people what I do in physical meetings, and build meaningful connections Can ChatGPT do that? Absolutely not Can it get you users? No I got 65 users for my recently launched app using my own techniques

Is anyone still using VS Code instead of switching fully to Claude Code or Codex ?

the reason why y'all avoid getting users and talking to them is because it's hard and that's just the first fundamental step you really thought cause AI can code the app it's gonna be that easy to make it a success?

i now understand why we prefer to spend all our time building and adding more features cause it seems productive and makes you look "busy" if you're building your own app, getting users and making them use the app on a daily basis is more important focus on that

if you knew how hard it'll get, would you still choose to start your own app?

@fidexcode it's really hard indeed i believe what will work is you build something useful on your own, find out how that same solution can be applied in other places and reach out to them that would make you an intermediate developer, not entry level
