@16Dubb @SM_Cifone83 When Tampa got swept by Columbus, they had an elite roster that need a little more bite and a nice wake-up call and they got both. We’re nowhere close to elite in much of anything other than drafting in the lottery come the end of July.

#NJDevils you’re either TF burner account or just stubborn. I just outlined for you how this season and last has been fumbled from the front office and you’re still arguing. Why should he not be fired? Injuries- other teams? 6 seasons and we’re not contending. Stop bro

@QuestHunt217 There’s no waste, both were logical deadline moves, literally 31 teams can pick apart those moves & find reasons to complain every year because they didn’t win the Cup … it’s just mind boggling dumb thinking

@SM_Cifone83 @16Dubb For a team who’s at the cap ceiling, you couldn’t built a roster this poorly even if you tried. It’s extremely unbalanced and is mainly built on finesse, which is a recipe for disaster when your core guys are all small & soft. That’s on upper management & nobody else.

@QuestHunt217 It can’t be both the drafting has been horrible & the reactions to the pieces that were traded being as visceral as they are … that just doesn’t make sense & the QH thing I 💯 agree on & even the puck move D thing, Hamilton stays healthy & it’s a different story

I’m sorry but this is just an horrific take. Besides the draft, the NMC’s, and totally whiffing on bringing QH, one of the biggest issues: sacrificing puck movement from the back for physical play- but the biggest IMO disaster is this in my next post. #NJDevils

@16Dubb It’s all overreactions … 90% of the problems have been injuries … I still don’t think he’s been a net negative as GM, but results matter, remember this is the fan base that ran DeBoer for overperforming with a bad AHL team & the reactions around Fitz represent same mentality

#NJDevils we traded for Toffoli which was a good move. He played 61 games for us, and when we traded him. we used those picks to get Dumoulin for 19 games. Above all- besides the actual WASTE here- he has yet to bring in Toffoli production for two seasons on JH wing. Insanity

@16Dubb Dowling was a player brought up from an AHL contract because the team was riddled with injuries, & yes many playoff teams do it in that scenario

@16Dubb IMO the worst move by far is the Markstrom extension & the failure to give Daws the chance to play regular NHL minutes, because even with the struggles they haven’t played as bad as their record showed, average NHL goaltending during that span they’re in a playoff spot

@16Dubb Kovacevic contract looks so bad because it’s a throw away year due to the injury, of course he’s been bad since coming back, it’s normal for the type of injury he had, next year is the real test if the contract is worth it & then the NTC drops to a 10 team so he’s easier to move
