Jack Baker briefly breaking through and telling Ethan to free his family in RE7 is one of the hardest gut punches in gaming. After the whole game seeing him as a monster, you suddenly realise he’s the victim.

Why stop at one? - Pacing is a mess - Story is LITTERED with plot holes and retcons - Leon's character is absolutely assassinated - Second half relies almost entirely on nostalgia (For source material that only start 7 years ago that they want you to believe is 30 years old) - The puzzles are stupid easy - Even most of the music is recycled from past games, and the original music isn't near as memorable as the classics I could keep goin' but I'll stop here for now.

@TheLastChisel @French_Slavic @BoltTheWord That is just flat out wrong. Every RE game follows the same structure; slow, puzzle-heavy first half, action-heavy second half. That’s literally the RE formula. This also includes RE7 and 8. Comparing them to Outlast just tells me you haven’t actually played them.

@BoltTheWord These games have to be studied in the way they make you feel fomo until everyone realizes we’ve been baited into paying $5 an hour for a game that only lasts 8-12 hours, effectively paying the highest premium for a single player game.
