Gitcoin 3.0 is mapping the Funding Infrastructure of the Next Internet The funding infrastructure of the next internet is being built right now. It is powered by AI, crowdfunding, stablecoins, and open source software. These forces are reshaping how people coordinate, build, and create value online. They are also breaking the legacy systems that fund innovation. Venture capital optimizes for upside, not public goods. Grants are slow, brittle, and local. Governments cannot keep up with global, permissionless networks or open innovation. At the same time, AI is exploding the supply of builders and ideas.
