I won’t lie, I didn’t even think renting like this was something people could do inside an app. In my head, if you needed something, you either bought it… or you found someone you knew personally. That was it. So seeing something like @ivaultapp felt a bit different. Because it’s not just “list and rent.” You can actually sell things you don’t need anymore. You can donate if you just want to clear space. And the part that surprised me the most: You can ask for items you need… and even swap what you have for something else. That’s not how we usually think about getting things. Everything is always “buy, buy, buy.” But this feels more flexible. Like there are other options that don’t involve spending unnecessarily or letting things sit unused. It shifts the mindset from always owning… to simply accessing what you need, when you need it. #ivault

“Wait… you mean people can actually make money from unused items sitting in their room?” 👀 That was probably my favorite moment during my conversation with @oluwamuyiwa04 at his conference show yesterday. He invited me over as a representative of @ivaultapp , and honestly, the atmosphere was amazing. The energy, the crowd, the whole setup felt premium. During the interview, he asked me why I believe ivault stands out. And my answer was simple: ivault is solving a real problem. A lot of us have items we barely use anymore but they’re still valuable. Instead of letting them gather dust, ivault creates a system where you can: • Rent them out • Lend them • Sell them • Or monetize temporary access to them And for someone who only needs that item briefly, they don’t have to buy it permanently. That’s real utility. I also love how community-focused the team is and how seriously they take security and building. By the end of the conversation, people around us were already discussing the idea heavily 😅 And honestly? This post gets it exactly right. That mental load is real and relentless. Doing the math in your head at the grocery store, checking your account before you swipe, saying “I’m good” when someone wants to go out, skipping the doctor because the copay isn’t there. None of that is laziness or poor decisions. It’s pure survival. Your brain stays in overdrive 24/7 just to keep everything from falling apart. That constant calculation wears you down before the day even starts. And the shame that comes with it? That part is brutal too. So many people are carrying this exact weight in silence, thinking it’s just them. It’s not. It’s what happens when life is priced out of reach. You put words to something a lot of us feel but rarely say. Thanks for that. If you’re in it right now, you’re not weak or failing. You’re just tired from fighting a fight most people never see.
