That may be true, but it doesn’t address the deeper concern. The question isn’t whether Islam punishes rape. It’s how Islamic law contains status-based categories (i.e., slave, captive, dhimmi, apostate, enemy..) and exploit this to justify their actions. Many Muslims reject those applications entirely. But those who want to justify abuse actively use those categories as the loophole.

@iz3us @martianwyrdlord I worked in Qatar 13 years. None of this crap happened there even though same demographic is majority of workers. Why? Because strict laws will have them jailed, probably beaten, then deported for breaking the law. Zero appeal.

You know what? This is as weird as it gets. Predators living among your society waiting for a chance on an innocent victim who might have lived a peaceful life and the predator took it. Now, the predator is taking to custody and serving a sort of 10 to 20 years in prison. The victim has a scar to live with their whole lives while the predator thinks of a medal was taken or rewarded and walks free after serving their time. How just is this? In Islam it's called The Limitation and if predator crosses it, they spare their lives by court order even if the victim gives them mercy because they are now considered an enemy of the community and after life they will face God's well which is more heavier than life.
