@McFaul The sole reason Ukraine hasn't yet destroyed the Kerch bridge is to leave them a way out.

@thekookreport Thanks for explaining this tx on the call. Message to receive is - Abel could just sell, but he, in fact, puts every effort not to sell.

The lengths CEO Abel goes through to avoid selling stock is insane. This is the exact same collateral position as last time (2.5mm shares so no voodo as we guess why he picked a number). Same structure- prepaid forward (a loan that is protected by a collared stock position). Man is taking a little liquidity while preserving his shares and ability to cash settle at expiry. He did us a solid by waiting until after a successful launch. Last time when he filed the intent to sell, we found out it was executed simultaneously. I’m going to guess that’s what happened again bc he’s not going to leave it hanging and set himself up to get smacked. Means this filing is now past tense for market impact if I’m right. $ASTS

@MarsApollo88 @StockSavvyShay Think of it as a debt to the longs. The debt will get returned at some point. Another way to think about it is a compressed spring. At some point it will spring back.

@StockSavvyShay Then why is $ASTS stock hemorrhaging after the company’s most pivotal and successful launch to date??

$ASTS is lighting up New York City to celebrate BlueBirds 8, 9 and 10 successfully reaching orbit. The satellites are the largest commercial communications arrays ever deployed in LEO.

$ASTS How I see things: - no stock price run before launch - price at volume shelf - at 200 SMA - next batch soon, if we make at least 3 per month, which we should by now - SPCX IPO uncertainty out of the way Iran or FOMC may still override. But I don't see this ending in sell the news.

@Defiantclient2 I guess we will never stack all 8 sats one on top of each other, I guess there would be two stacks of 4. So, in that case, the bottom sat has to withstand 3 top already massive sats × 6G = 18 sat equivalent of pressure. Either I get it wrong or this is incredible engineering.

$ASTS: This is why the composite casings took so long to finalize. It's hard fucking work. 👇 "During launch, the BlueBirds must withstand extraordinary forces up to 6 times Earth's gravity. This creates a MASSIVE ENGINEERING CHALLENGE as with the stacked design, the bottom satellite must now support its own weight plus the ones above it, multiplied by 6Gs. To address this, our teams have developed incredibly strong carbon fiber structures that enable us to stack up to 8 satellites at once. That means each satellite can support about the weight of a fully loaded Boeing 777 at takeoff, or nearly the weight of the Statue of Liberty minus its pedestal. That's a strong satellite." - @Emma_Jorna

$ASTS "All payloads successfully confirmed" That's why $SPCX is a 2+T company - they make extremely complex stuff look trivial. And because of a couple of other unimportant reasons :)

@spacanpanman Glad this IPO is behind us. It carried a lot of uncertainty. My next concern is, as many IPOs fail initially, hopefully it would not drag down the entire sector with it. Other than that we have launch and next batch announcement ahead in the next days or weeks, we'll recover.

$ASTS: NGL, surprised at the magnitude of the drawdown today. I expected there to be potentially some pullback from yesterday's ramp, but for the stocks to give back all and more is interesting. There's lots of theories as to why the big move today, but none that seem to make sense. I did load pretty heavy on upside all day. Never a dull day being an investor in space stocks!

@udelqb12 I'd say this has real mid-term effect to ASTS. But you're right that markets are inefficient - RKLB, a direct competitor, is down, likely in correllation to the broader basket.

$ASTS So BONG blows up with Amazon satellites, this has absolutely nothing to do with ASTS, yet ASTS sells off $10 after hours, Amazon stock yawns. SMH. Apparently anything negative that happens in space is only a negative for ASTS stock price. 🤣🤣 hard to understand.

It will be interesting to see how Abel will spin this: either we will find a replacement or we must admit current eoy goals are no more feasible. Finding replacement is not easy to say the least: NG was supposed to work as a heavy lifter, it takes a couple of other launches to replace one NG launch, Vulcan is fully booked for the year, other contracts uncertain, launch cadence slow, price expensive (price being least of my issues at this point). P.S. If you're short and reading this - don't be too happy, you will still end losing, betting on random company unrelated issues is not a thesis.

@izvalgos New Glenn 3 upper stages anomaly produced a setback for the stock. Starship booster anomaly and NG4 return to pad flipped the script back. But the ”horse race” isn’t really 1:1 like that. Abel Avellan has six horses in the race not just one.

New Glenn 4 static-fire test blew up on pad. I hope no one was hurt. Starship program for comparison has had ~5 full vehicle failures/losses (mostly in 2025: Flights 7, 8, 9, and others involving upper stage explosions, propellant leaks, engine failures, or loss of control). So it’s expected in one way. The way $ASTS has mitigated such events introducing delays/frictions is a launch vehicle agnostic satellite and contract with multiple providers worldwide. Near term multiple booked and planned launches are all with Falcon-9, not New Glenn which was booked a bit later to try and lift 4 satellites and then scale to 6 and 8. Long term both Blue Origin and AST will continue to produce satellites and upper stages these are the items that limit deployment on the timescale that matters which is a couple of years. 👉It wasn’t the real long term bottlenecks for deployment that took a hit👈 I would advise against rash decisions on your position as this is not a single point of failure nor a gating item for AST, they have signed up with ULA as one example. Abel Avellan quoted saying they have contract with all US launchers at this point. New Glenn will be back in some time. Back with a bigger stack of their real bottleneck: The disposable upper stages. Which will allow a rapid cadence then.
