@MattHarmon_BYB @TexansJacob Seems like the Texans (and league as a whole) are trying to adopt more 12/13 personnel. How do you think this shapes the WR hierarchy in Houston?

Something the replies to this graphic have taught me is that people seem to have completely forgotten that Tank Dell has never been a slot receiver for the Texans. When I charted him for #ReceptionPerception as a rookie, he was awesome from the perimeter on big out-breaking routes against man coverage. That was his role and when he came back in 2024, Diggs was the slot receiver, not him. Now, I have no idea if Dell will even be a big factor or certainly if he can return to his 2023 form. I'm rooting for it because he's awesome. But if he does, my guess is that it will force a big rotation between Higgins, Dell and Noel behind Nico Collins and then none of those three end up clear 60% of the routes but they all get work. Not to mention this team may still play Xavier Hutchinson more than most suspect, as they did last year. The Texans have a clear WR1 and could end with a WR2 by pseudo-committee.

@PFSN365 On the one hand…I respect the draft simulator for correctly expecting the Texans to at least make the AFC championship but, drafting a center after we traded up for Rutledge makes no sense. Also, Arizona is drafting a QB…what are we doing here

@HoustonTexans @bondl3wis It’s pretty clear we’re trying to run the ball more efficiently via the 10 OL on the roster. Maybe instead of taking experimental TE3-4 (in the 2nd fucking round) or CB/DB7…we could have gotten some reinforcement at RB. Even the dude from Navy is gone 🤦🏽‍♂️

@TexansCommenter My mans…we don’t have a LB on the roster for 2027 and Anthony Hill was right there. Blowing a 2nd round pick on a developmental TE who would have been there in round 4 is almost as bad as defending the decision

Texans have needed a big body to be able to run seams and bender seams to use his frame to make tough contested catches over the middle. Higgins and Nico can do it some, but a big TE like this is ideal.
