#cardiotwitter, let’s celebrate the incredible Dr. Eugene Braunwald on his 95th birthday. Dr. Braunwald’s contributions to medicine are unquantifiable, and his mentorship and inspiration have shaped tens of thousands of clinician investigators around the world. As you see from the tribute by Dr. Libby and Dr. Pfeffer, there is virtually no area of cardiology that Dr. Braunwald has not advanced. In fact, his depth across so many areas likely contributed to the healthy subspecialization of cardiology. I am deeply grateful to have benefited from his guidance and honored to have written a chapter to his eponymous textbook under Peter’s editorship. Happy birthday to a living legend!
