@erik_thorvalds @ABDanielleSmith If the referendum in October doesn’t win, we still need a backup for the next 4 years till the next vote. If not Premier Smith, then who, and why ?

You still think @ABDanielleSmith is a secret sovereigntist? She isn’t. She’s a Forever Canadian federalist through and through. Danielle and Mark Carney are now working together to “bring those [Independence supporting] numbers down.” Time for her to go. #AlbertaFirst
Jim Ferguson@JimFergusonUK

x.com/JimFergusonUK/… 🚨 OTTAWA AND EDMONTON ARE NOW TRYING TO STOP ALBERTA SEPARATION The Alberta Premier is now openly admitting that independence support is too big to ignore — while simultaneously trying to pull people back toward Ottawa. Listen carefully to what she said: • “35% or more” of ALL Albertans could vote for independence • Around “55%” of UCP supporters support separation • She and Mark Carney are now working together to “bring those numbers down” That last line matters. For years Albertans were told separatism was fringe. Now the Premier herself admits the movement is powerful enough that Ottawa and Edmonton must actively work to stop it growing further. And notice the shift: Suddenly Carney is being framed as “different” from Trudeau. Suddenly there’s talk of “confidence building.” Suddenly promises are being made again. Because the political establishment knows the ground is moving beneath them. The real issue now isn’t whether Alberta frustration exists. It’s whether enough Albertans still believe Canada can be fixed at all.

@Gerry39464526 Gerry here is an example of a cancer in alberta. There are too many so called albertans that have become addicts to victimizing themselves and never ending complaining, posts like these show that Ottawa could do anything and no matter what they will never be satisfied.

Albertans Is a single pipeline to the west coast enough to appease your grievances with the rest of Canada or is Danielle wasting our time? Please share this far and wide

Alberta has 12% of Canadas population. Alberta pays 17% of all federal income taxes to Ottawa. Alberta gets 9% of federal spending. Tell me why the Systemic Discrimination of western Canada is ok? Why are you ok with our vote being worth less than the rest of Canada, much less? Why are you ok that the vote of a member of the Enoch Nation in Alberta, is worth less, much less, than a member of the Mi’kmaw nation of the Annapolis valley?? Why are you ok that the vote of a member of the LGBT…. community of Calgary is worth less than someone who lives in Charlottetown? Atlantic Canada, NL,NS, NB, PE, Combined population 2.6 million people. 30 Senators 32 MPs. 1 MP per 81,250 persons Quebec. Population 8.5 million people 24 Senators 78 MPs. 1 MP per 108,000 people 3 seats on Supreme Court of Canada. Western Canada, BC, AB, SK, MB, Combined population 13.5 million people 24 Senators 104 MPs. 1 MP per 128,000 people 2 seats on the Supreme Court of Canada. Ontario Population 16.2 million 24 Senators 122 MPs. 1 MP per 132,000 people Alberta Population 4.9 million 6 Senators 37 MPs. 1 MP per 135,000 people. We have been fighting for fair representation into the governance of Canada for decades….and I haven’t even touched on the financial pillaging of our taxes….$700,000,000,000.00 since the 1960s.. That is a whole other argument We are done. Canada can piss off.

Apparently there’s a washed up politician known as Jason Kenney, who can’t read the street and thinks he can get back into politics even though he has zero credibility or political capital. He seems to have delusions of grandeur after his disastrous, unpopular and tyrannical reign as Alberta Premier during which he threw Christian pastors in jail and held a fake referendum on equalization payments. Clown Show 🤡

@CTVNews He lied to Albertans about vaccine mandates. He had pastors arrested in front of their families. He had churches shut down while he drank with his buddies He is a wicked liar. And how many were injured or died because he helped force drugs into people? He is not well liked

@Garnet_2203 If you want to make a go of it in Alberta it requires hard work combined with a strong belief in Faith Family and Freedom. If you can’t hack it you can’t stay. Tuck your, tail between your legs and hit the trans Canada due east till you find your comfort zone

My friend moved to Alberta from Ontario last year thinking it would be a fresh start. Now he says the Maple MAGA culture out there is exhausting. Same conspiracy talking points, same outrage machine, same tinfoil hat politics everywhere. He’s already packing his bags and coming back to Ontario. Alberta is fucked
Republicans against Trump@RpsAgainstTrump

Trump: “Gas prices have come down today. Have you looked? They came down very substantially” Fact check: False. Gas prices climbed to an average of $4.56 a gallon today, now up nearly 60% since the start of the war.

Mark Carney tried to pin Canada's EV sector failure on Donald Trump. Lisa Raitts tells everyone to sit the F'k down "He allowed 49,000 Chinese EVs into Canada. You think that doesnt factor into investment plans?!?"

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is upbeat after another meeting Mark Carney as the Liberals announced they are looking to make changes to expedite processes for big projects. "I know industry is getting a bit impatient, Albertans are getting a little bit impatient. And if we're going to to move forward with that MOU, I hope it happens in the the next number of days because I I think in Alberta there does need to be a demonstration that Canada can work. And I think that we've demonstrated a couple of things over the last number of months that we can work well together. We've changed course on a number of things and Alberta wants to continue to build major projects in partnership with Canada." Industry is getting impatient because of the unnecessary costs and red tape they face while there is nothing but lip service. The central part of the MOU is Alberta agreeing to all of Mark Carney's green agenda items as permission to do business and build projects. How is this going to change?

Not a single purchaser of crude oil in the world asks nor cares about the carbon footprint of the barrel, instead is 100% focused on accessibility, affordability, and reliability. I do not see how we overcome this massive misunderstanding which underpins all ongoing negotiations.
