Taha Abderrahmane brilliantly summarizes Ibn Taymiyya’s contribution to epistemology while acknowledging the failure of his followers (and I will add: the Kalam tradition) to produce new knowledge since about the 1400s.

@SiO_Army @EdinburghUP Dr Yasir referred to my work in the chapter you mention. His work seems interested in documenting current events as opposed to regaining control over a narrative misused by hegemonic powers since 9/11. He has yet to engage with my central thesis

@jaanislam @EdinburghUP Currently reading this book, really enjoying it so far. I will share my insights once I'm done. Btw, have you read "Understanding Salafism" by Yasir Qadhi? He has a chapter on extremist groups I suppose, I'm not sure if it's worth a read, you might have a better idea
