@stevesphd Except when the intervention is the drug itself (which won't be randomised in UKB primary care data), right ? In this case , even among treated people , a PGx variant can be a randomiser to different levels of treatment

This is a critical point. Drug target MR investigations should use genetic variants in biologically-relevant gene regions that mimic the intervention of interest. Not genetic variants that predict drug prescription or drug usage.
