I'm delighted that Lee Walker has agreed to chair the Pride in Place Board for Stoke Park which will oversee a £20m investment. Having grown up in the local area, Lee understands the community, knows its strengths and shares the ambition local people have for the area's future.

Neighbourhood policing is back. New stats show neighbourhood officer numbers have grown by 22% in just one year, helping cut crime and make communities safer. And this number will continue to grow. Putting officers where the public wants them: on our streets fighting crime.

This weekend's Ijtima in Barham was due to be attended by over 10,000 Muslims. Instead, it ended early after a credible extreme right-wing terrorism-related threat to the lives of those present. Twelve individuals have now been arrested as part of an investigation led by Counter Terrorism Police.

Shocking news that Counter Terrorism Police are investigating a credible, serious threat targeted at an Islamic event in Suffolk. Thanks to the quick action taken by police and the organisers, nobody was hurt. My message is clear: I will not tolerate any attacks on our Muslim communities, or any form of anti-Muslim hatred.
