We left Salford City 8 years ago after winning 3 promotions. Since then they’ve won 1 promotion, and that was the season after we’d left with the majority of the squad we put together. I do sometimes wonder…

Need 2 goals in half an hour for Europe and Jordan Henderson’s wasting a minute walking off as slow as he can shaking hands with the Liverpool players. How about read the room and show a bit of respect to the club actually paying your wages? Embarrassing.

@AnfieldRd96 show's how weak the league was back then that 2 clubs could amass so many points. No competition at all other than each other. Shambles, really.

97, 92 and 91 points under Klopp and Liverpool finished 2nd all three times. 85 points now wins you the Premier League. Mental.

If I find there is unequal treatment between our camps I will walk to the lobby and wait for him. Control your whore or dont. I dont care. Let the chips fall where they may this is America...

After 20+ years, a load of goals, and memories to last a lifetime, I’m officially announcing my retirement from playing—and I couldn't have written a better ending than scoring with my very last touch on a football pitch last night. 🎯 When I was that young lad stepping out for my first-team debut at Wrexham back in 2005, I could never have imagined the journey this game would take me on. Football has given me absolutely everything. Looking back, there are a few chapters that I will carry with me forever: • The Welsh Debut: Stepping into Welsh football on loan at Aberystwyth and scoring a hat-trick on my debut against TNS. That set the tone for what would become the defining relationship of my career. 🟢⚫ • Wembley x2: Experiencing the ultimate dream with York City in 2012. Winning at Wembley not just once, but twice in a matter of days to secure the FA Trophy and promotion is something I will never, ever forget. 🏆🏟️ • The Aussie Adventure: Taking the leap to play in Australia. Testing myself overseas and experiencing life and football down under was an unbelievable chapter of my career. 🇦🇺☀️ • My Welsh Love Affair & Bangor: Playing in Wales shaped who I am, and I have to give a massive, special mention to the city of Bangor. Winning the league title and the Welsh Cup as a Bangor City player were absolute career peaks. To finish my playing days fighting for CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876, and to bow out with a goal on my final night—the connection I have with the fans and this city means the absolute world to me. 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 To every manager, teammate, club staff member, and supporter across all my clubs—thank you for backing this journeyman. Most importantly, thank you to my family for being in my corner every step of the way. So proud that they got to watch me play! I’m incredibly proud to bow out at 38 after a 19-goal season, wrapping it up with the league and cup double. The boots are away, but the passion for the game isn't going anywhere. Here’s to the next chapter! Thanks for the memories. 🤝⚽️

Any semi-pro or even 'amateur' receiving 💷💷from a club should never book holidays during the season! If a player signs for a club, he/she should be invested enough to represent that club in every possible match bar injury.. Too many go away & miss vital games! It's a big NO!!

@LiverpoolNowHQ Cherki would actually do better in our team than Wirtz. He wants to hold on to the ball, isnt afraid of trying to beat a man and creating a bit of magic. Exactly what you need from forward players when you have less possession in a match.

I can’t believe I’m seeing people criticise Wirtz… some of you genuinely don’t understand football. Put him in that PSG midfield and he would absolutely cook. How do you expect a natural No. 10 to thrive in a team with 26% possession? Especially when he’s being asked to play LW, RW, false 9, and still drop all the way back into the 6 role. That’s not on him, that’s on the system and the Manager. Blame. The. System. And all this Cherki talk… Wirtz is a generational talent. Put Wirtz in this current City team and Cherki in this Liverpool side under Arne Slot… Wirtz thrives, Cherki struggles. Simple as that. #LFC #Wirtz

Sorry I’m not having any of the Wirtz hate. The guy is a fucking baller, in the right system, if utilised correctly can be one of the best players in the world. If you understand football, you understand the ability this kid has and the potential he has. Just needs a manager to use him correctly👍 Look what happens when he plays for Germany🤷🏻‍♂️

@DEANRAVEN7 @FAWales @NoelMooney13 For that to happen the cost of tickets at pro level will need to go even higher, thats not sustainable for a fan either. I’d get it if the increase was massive, but its £10. The parent’s moaning will still prioritise a pack of ciggies.

@jackabe10 @FAWales @NoelMooney13 Kids under 16 shouldnt need to pay to play mate if people really give a fuck about grassroots it'd filter down from the associations and pro teams to give kids a chance to play some clubs charge a kid 80/100 a season to play for kit etc its becoming tough for some

WOW!! @FAWales @NoelMooney13 this clearly shows how out of touch with grassroots you really are! Teams folding all over the place due to ridiculous pitch costs and you go and double registration fees 🤯 get ready for a decline in participation at grassroots 👌

@HendrickD82 @Corballyred And yes… all 3 players offer what this team needs… it needs leaders. We dont have one leader in the team, its sound when we are winning but when the going gets tough they all go hiding.

This might not be popular, but it needs saying:👇 When are we having the difficult conversation about Ryan Gravenberch??? He was poor in his first season, very good for the first half of last season before his form collapsed in the second half, and he's been poor again this season. That's 2.5 out of 3 seasons where he's been crap. He's strolled around barely making a tackle this season and is the softest 6 in the Premier League. Yet we gave him a massive new contract worth nearly €300k a week. Insane, when the reality is we should’ve been prioritising a replacement for him as our 6. Look at this below, watch Gravenberch position👇 Under no circumstances can he start as our 6 next season🫢

@HendrickD82 @Corballyred The clip is about Grav being too deep… hendo, milner, carra organise the team non stop when they play and would 100% have him in a position he needs to be. Virg doesnt lead or organise the team. If you believe that, then youre nuts.

I REFUSEEEE to jump on this Asics, New Balance trainer trend. Don’t matter how you wanna lace them up… 20 years ago in school you wouldn’t be seen in them trainers and now they are charging extortionate prices for them! Not on my watch… straight Nike all day!

@stelewis9 @kareemasr Nobody is saying Saka is having a good season? On no planet is 4 goals a good year for any winger / forward. There’s multiple midfielders who are outscoring him, casemiro being one of them! Salah is not in the top 25 top goal scorers, his past success is irrelevant.

I'm crying. You know what's funny? The "dramatic drop off" is only dramatic when you compare Mohamed Salah...to Mohamed Salah The season he's having, numbers-wise at least, is a good season for any other winger on this planet.
Anfield Edition | æ@AnfieldEdition

🥇| @mcgrathmike: "This campaign [from Salah] has seen one of the dramatic drop-offs in modern football. Other comparisons have mitigating factors, like Andriy Shevchenko moving to England, or Fernando Torres moving clubs. Alexis Sanchez is also in this category."
