@akirarmsarms @Qveen_Potato Not playing a game because of the sex/gender of the main character is very silly. If I didnt play games that have a woman or girl as a protagonist, I would have never played 8 of my favourite games of all time and they're damn good games.

For years on end I avoided games that had me play a male character as it felt weird to identify with that. If a girl character wasn't available I would avoid the game even if the story was great. And I know for a fact, cis women played male characters but you hardly got a complaint from them about that. Now here is a female character and men are losing their minds.

Quite sad to see that a lot of people are just letting AI slop slip in when it literally isn't even needed in the first place. "None were AI from the ground up; AI for refinement; consider AI to be supportive tool" Yeah, my ass.

@TheRedcapsNet @Jooornio I feel this take is from someone who mainly plays AAA games or larger titles and is a pretty selfish one. Granted, some people just arent passionate about games but I feel they should care how they're made. Otherwise we get more dlc from Warnerbros based on cancer victims etc.

@Jooornio All that matters is: Is the game fun? Does it avoid anti-consumer monetization? And is the developer actively supporting it / fixing bugs. If so then who gives a shit if AI is used, if you are some sort of cult purist anti-AI then life is going to be very rough for you.

@Blandlevi1 This is like when films have a fake game on the tv or an actor holding a controller and mashing buttons to pretend they're playing a game, so many signs to point out. Honestly you should just admit to using AI, its more embarrasing that you know its bad and trying to cover it up.

@Shaunage325 @MichaelDoesLife This. It's actually making games LESS creative cuz everyone expects some indie project to be the next Rockstar game. Even most AAA studios don't have a spare $billy lying around. Building systems streamers react to takes resources away from ones that make the game actually good.

The lack of detail in 007 First Light is EMBARRASSINGLY bad. It's 2026 and we still have statue NPCs that don't react to anything. YIKES!

games use systems like this to reinforce who you're supposed to be playing as. Bond is supposed to be suave and clean, he doesn't flatten pedestrians. the game isn't built to allow that bc it's not a part of the fiction you're meant to be inhabiting. it's basic ludonarrative

@kokopuff_kross I mean. It does. Its sorta missing that extra level of polish that really makes it stand out. They clearly focused more on practicality than flare and I appreciate that.

Gamers will look at beautiful hand drawn animation and tell you it looks like a flash game because it’s animated at 24 fps instead of 60 (it still runs at 60)

@Cardoso the ai completely excludes the main point of this scene which is the emotion. The original changes their face, the point of interest. The ai has robotic faces that dont change

@BRobo82 I mean, sure its awesome tech but why would we want them in a game when there are faster methods that produce similar results?

The graphics and water simulation in this CGI look incredible and required 3 hours of rendering on a 5090. I wish good luck to all the purists who want such effects in a game using traditional methods without AI, even in 20 years.

@Gossip_Goblin the individual clips look alright. As a whole it looks inconsistent and disconnected.
