Richard Childress Racing has elected to suspend use of the No. 8 and will run the No. 33 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and beyond. Kyle Busch was instrumental in the design of RCR’s stylized No. 8 and it has become synonymous with Kyle and an important symbol for his fans and the NASCAR industry. No one can carry it forward to the level that he did. The No. 8 is reserved and ready for Brexton Busch when he is ready to go NASCAR racing.

We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.

Some great points in here, additionally from Herta, Wanser. For years I’ve suggested IndyCar has to go to a document system for each decision, that is then available to teams and fans. It’s a transparency and understanding bare minimum for top level series

C’mon, we are better than this! Sportscar racing doesn’t need this kind of clickbait to get more likes. We are always the ones who complain that there is no respect from F1 fans for our discipline, and at the first opportunity, this is what we do…

I leave feeling I didn't do enough and could have done so many things better, but ultimately so grateful for the opportunity and for the people I met and made friends with for life. Sad for what I leave behind but excited looking forwards also!

I've loved every second of covering IndyCar. Thanks to all the amazing people who have helped me. It was dream since I was a kid to cover IndyCar and the Indy 500 and what a journey it's been achieving that!
