NEWS: Albany sophomore Amir Lindsey is entering the transfer portal, @Cj_Ward of @LIFTSPORTSMNGMT told @LeagueRDY. Lindsey has played the last two seasons at Albany and was the leading scorer in the America East this season. Was named All-America East First Team. He averaged 17.9PPG, 4.9APG, 3.3RPG and 1.2SPG this season. Shot 45% from the floor, 35% from 3, 80% from the line.

NEWS: Siena guard Reid Ducharme is entering the transfer portal, CJ Ward of @LIFTSPORTSMNGMT told @LeagueRDY. Ducharme is a former four-star recruit with stops at Xavier and Siena. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Gerry McNamara calls his time as HC of Siena “one of the greatest honors” of his life. Speaking from a media perspective, Gerry consistently displayed tremendous class. Always shook our hands. Syracuse now early, strong favorites to land Gavin Doty, should he throw his name in the transfer portal. Gerry McNamara absolutely loves the kid. Doty loves playing for him and he’s from Fulton — just 30 minutes north of campus.

Over the course of the past few days, talking with others here in Albany, this felt inevitable. Cuse gets their guy. A program builder who’s won at the highest level as player, now he’ll get an opportunity to do so as a coach.

Sources: Syracuse is working to finalize a deal to hire Siena coach Gerry McNamara as the school’s next head coach, per me and @jeffborzello. McNamara won a national championship as a player at Syracuse and led Siena to the NCAA Tournament this year.

What an effort from Siena who heads back to Loudonville having earned the respect on an entire nation. Greenville offered an unforgettable experience. My final report below.

That'll do it from Greenville. Duke controls the final seven minutes of this game, only allowing one field goal from Siena during that span. It ends 71-65. What an effort from the Saints.
