@the_bronan We just got our tesla this Friday, it’s a crazy experience! We drove 70mile today, at first my mom was super nervous, and then we got used to it, love Elon and his team!

It didn't take long. I watched enough videos to know that FSD was legit. I used it on my initial test drive and wasn't the least bit nervous. I was actually surprised how normal it felt. Pretty amazing tech. The one pedal driving took about a week to get used to. Now it feels weird to drive our gas car where I have to hit the brakes.

You haven't experienced real self-driving until you've tried Tesla Self-Driving 14.3.3 in Mad Max mode

If you Tesla owners are frustrated that you haven’t received 14.3.3, don’t worry, I have been on v12.6.4 for over a year and haven’t had an update since.

@shrmodelx 去年就说了，不要对AI4抱有太多期待。把模型剪枝塞到这样小的算力芯片，跑本地模型，已经做到极致了。ai4本来就不是为大模型设计的。它设计成产的时候还没有gpt3呢。等AI5量产吧，特斯拉肯定不会直说的，否则ai4车卖不动了。

I’m not sure why either. Maybe it’s just because new cars are more expensive. My mom’s old car is an SUV, and it’s already 12 years old. Its annual registration fee is usually around $200 to $350. We paid it once near the end of last year. But thank god insurance prices is not as crazy as I thought

I am almost 27 years old, male, and I have lived in different parts of the U.S., including the suburbs near Sacramento, the suburbs of Los Angeles, and Brooklyn, New York, for about half a year. I liked New York because it felt interesting and full of energy, but I did not like the specific school and neighborhood I lived in at that time. Sacramento was okay but a bit boring. At first, I did not like Los Angeles much either, but later I realized it was probably because I lived in the suburbs. I think living near the beach or in a better area of L.A. would feel very different. I enjoy meeting interesting people and having meaningful conversations. I am interested in technology, cars, space, and the future. I like the positive side of Elon Musk, especially his work in space exploration and electric cars, but I do not agree with all of his ideas or behavior. Politically, I am more of a centrist. I am neither Democrat nor Republican, because I think both sides have good and bad points. In terms of religion, I would say I am somewhat Christian. I believe in God, but I still have doubts about some things.

@Plankton445140 My point is, if you want to cancel, just cancel. But posting this makes it look like you felt personally offended. I think Elon was mainly mocking arrogant and mentally unstable PhD holders, not you specifically.

This sort of mindset is probably why xAI failed to catch up to other frontier labs. If he wants to make SpaceXAI into a frontier lab, hope he changes his mindset. Though being a cloud provider is probably something they can easily excel in anyway lol (Colossus is impressive!)

Thanks, that makes sense. How long did it take you to get used to and start trusting Autopilot/FSD? Also, how long did it take you to get used to Tesla’s one-pedal driving? The accelerator feels very different from a gas car — when you lift your foot, it slows down quickly instead of coasting.

@jackfeng1999 @DirkVanderspek You likely won't have the option right away to update. New deliveries are typically a little behind on updates for the first few months. I picked up my Model Y in March and still haven't gotten the update for 14.3.3.

@liorsela Hilariously, mad max wants to go faster in the rain all while complaining about camera visibility.

Every time it rains, my Tesla displays this message: “⚠️ FSD (Supervised) may be degraded. Poor weather detected.” Yet I’ve never noticed any real drop in FSD performance. Is this just Tesla’s classic CYA/liability disclaimer? Do you notice any FSD degradation when this message appears?

@DirkVanderspek I mean FSD version 14.3.3. Should I update to the latest software when I get the car, or is there a more stable/better version for Autopilot/FSD? My mom and I only test drove it for about 50 minutes, so we’re still not very confident with FSD yet.

Just your average right turn. As one does. @Tesla #HW3 FSD is a struggle. 2026.14.6 No, this is not typical. It’s good 99% of the time. Probably more. Same turn you take every day. Then it happens. This is why it is NOT unsupervised.

Was gonna do a coast to coast trip in my HW3 but already had to intervene within 20 seconds 😂😭😭 I’ll have to leave that stuff to the HW4 pros ❤️
