@Simonil97_ My thoughts too. If you aren’t using him, and you obviously aren’t keen on Solo or Craig, surely you’re looking at another external option.

@eathb @SydneySeaKings I don't see Cotton as clearly being the best tbh. Davis lifts the entire team, which is one aspect of MVP-level play. Does Cotton lift his team or do all the hard work for them?

@jacksonelt @SydneySeaKings Yeah that's how I see it playing out. Cotton is very clearly the best player in the league this season, not sure if anyone else should win MVP.

Kendric vs Bryce #NBL26 MVP comparison data. Through 31 games each (via SpatialJam) Bryce has played 191 minutes more. In terms of a 40-minute NBL game, that's 4 games and three quarters more basketball. Season net rating: Kendric +14 vs Bryce +9

@jacksonelt @SydneySeaKings May as well talk about last season as the same reason why Davis didn’t win it last year is the reason these guys are pushing it now

@eathb @SydneySeaKings Totally different 36ers team last season, useless comparison. Most of the arguments for Cotton seem to be his coach isn't as good, team isn't as good and his GM isn't as good, so I guess Goorj wins COY, Kings win the chip and Bryce wins MVP.

@SydneySeaKings Kendric plays on super team and Bryce does not. Sixers barely scrapped into the playoffs last year with Davis playing Cotton's role.

@Whowantsth49867 @SydneySeaKings Last season has nothing to do with this season's MVP race and no point talking hypotheticals about teams either. We do not know what Kings or 36ers would be like without these guys. Both deserve it, co-MVP sounds good.

@SydneySeaKings And what team needs their PG more than the other…. That’s right, Adelaide. Take cotton out and they are battling to make the Play In. Take KD out of Sydney and they are still top 4. KD wasn’t good enough to carry the 6ers last season like Cotton has this season

@RRome44 Riiiight...so everyone else's version is wrong but yours should be believed. It is lucky Goorj's comments were heard as it has completely taken the focus off the disappointing Phoenix performance

Funny how Goorj won't actually say what Foxy said, he's had every opportunity to do so and he hasn't, because he knows the truth.....and funny how the microphones apparently have selective hearing (heard Goorj loud and clear, but nothing from Foxy).... Also, some folks are saying our coach confronted KD in the tunnel, couldn't be further from the truth, it was the other way around.... A broadcaster left mid-press conference to go snitch to KD, which then incited that whole "confrontation" in the tunnel, a confrontation initiated by KD....Let's see how this is addressed in the aftermath....Unfortunately, there is a "good 'ol boys club" mentality that is ever prevalent, so I won't hold my breath 😅

@NBWT__ Translation: he hasn't been offered anything from Perth but would like to be, or at least offered more money from a competitor.

Good win by Adelaide. Winnable game for Sydney but a few mistakes down the stretch and missed FT’s were the difference. Have another tough one on Monday vs SEM. 👑

@NBLPleb Wow. Good gig for an NBL1 player. I guess there's a risk that 20k doesn't always arrive on time ans he can get cut any time.

@jacksonelt Depends on the player, but Jock could be getting upwards of $20K a month, plus housing/food all taken care of.

@JulianMarcus32 @mattmc33 I don't see the guys on this Hawks team who were there last season who are just turning up collecting a cheque? It's just a bad roster. A lot of roster turnover, no PG and poor recruitment - Mcgee, Froling, Bolden are all losing players and Biwali is fringe NBL.

Hi @NBLPleb I have got a question about the CBA if you are able to answer to the best of your knowledge. Thanks in advance mate! 1. Does China pay massive salaries ? Way bigger than the NBL? Reason being is I see some great players over there that would be amazing in the NBL

@thebalmainboy Again, very extreme to say that people who didn't come 'don't care'. They have paid a lot of money to become members - they care! The club will survive even if they didn't come to a rally. To each their own but today was a success imo.

@jacksonelt Cmon if only 3% of members are protesting that sends a message that 97% are happy with HBGs management. So why don't more members care if their club survives or not?

Sadly it's a predictably tiny event to save the Wests Tigers. Our members just don't care. Being losers is in our DNA

@thebalmainboy Also don't think a few hundred for the rally is bad?! I'm unsure why the 1000 person cap was thrown around as a minimum by a few podcasters.

@thebalmainboy That's a bit of an extreme take and it is takes like that which hurt perception as much as attendance at a rally. The pressure from members has led to HBG walking back a lot of their stupidity and in 2023 actually led to the Barnier review. HBG are still terrible though.
