Many $TSLA bulls who cling to the notion $TSLA shouldn’t advertise because they’ve done just fine without it point to failed EV companies like $LCID who advertise as proof advertising doesn’t work. Advertising can’t overcome a bad product/pricing strategy. $LCID launched in the wrong segment (luxury sedans) at a price point that was way too high for the value added and never sold well. No amount of advertising was going to fix that. I view TSLA’s advertising opportunity more akin to $AAPL iPhone. Like Tesla, iPhone was the disruptor that transformed the handset market from dumb phones to smart phones. AAPL used advertising to educate non-users how iPhones could make them more productive and enrich their lives. Similarly, TSLA advertising could show how convenient EVs are to charge, how long a single charge lasts, the great technology and semi autonomous self driving capabilities, the amazing performance, how inexpensive they are to maintain, and their benefit to the environment. The first EV customers were early adopters and the product sold itself. To accelerate EV adoption TSLA must now go after the rational consumer segment who needs to be convinced. @elonmusk @MartinViecha

@garyblack00 @elonmusk Theyre trying to make people think that Hydrogen cars are better alternative than evs, not until they can prove thay hydrogen is cheaper, faster and lots of refueling stations, its just fake news.

I still don’t get why @elonmusk refuses to educate non-EV owners on the benefits of EVs (lower costs, easy to charge, better tech, autonomy, superior performance, good for the environment). Great creative EV comms is fully consistent with Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Comms shouldn’t be to existing TSLA owners on YouTube and X. $TSLA has to target ICE owners who don’t know anything. @MartinViecha

In 2005, a six-month-old kitten named Oscar was adopted by a nursing home in the US to be raised as a therapy cat. However, the workers noticed something peculiar about him. While Oscar usually preferred to be alone, he occasionally crawled into a resident's bed and snuggled beside them. The eerie thing about this is that the resident that Oscar would cuddle with would usually die within hours. Initially, the staff didn't think much of it, but after this happened 20 times, they started to believe that Oscar knew when someone was close to passing away, and so when they noticed the cat next to a resident, they would call their loved ones to warn them. Researchers speculate that Oscar could smell biochemicals released by dying cells and so chose to comfort lonely residents. On one occasion, the staff was convinced that a resident was about to pass away, but Oscar refused to sit with them. Instead, he chose another resident who looked healthier, and that person passed away first. Oscar died in 2022, and over the course of his life he accurately predicted over 100 deaths.
