Worked on a hover effect that reveals underlying binary code on a page. Hat tip to v0 for help with this one 😉.

@gregisenberg There’s definitely a shift. Would argue product risk still exists, but the relative risk of engineering, as a dimension of product risk, has decreased. Connecting all the dots is still hard to get right though.

If distribution is the new moat, where is the Y-Combinator for creating distribution, not software? I don’t think it exists. There isn’t much product risk anymore in most startups. Only distribution risk.

@PopkenHerman Ha, I had the same thought. A standard layout like this does a pretty good job of conveying info quickly. Downside is that it doesn’t feel super original. Going to keep thinking about ways to add more personality.

@nicolasadamini Cursor’s 10x feature is… keyboard shortcuts. Not sure why/how Microsoft still hasn’t added that vscode/copilot

Cursor is pure hype, Cursor is shiny object syndrome. Microsoft will answer with a better integration of copilot and everyone will be back to vscode...

If you're building AI features, I highly recommend today's launch from @use_velvet on producthunt.com I started working with the team about a month ago and believe Velvet's product will dramatically improve and simplify AI-feature development.
