So I broke down how branding works when it works: clear conditions, real storytelling, design that solves business problems instead of just looking pretty. At that point, the product didn't matter. It was a matter of making him feel comfortable and secure in what I could deliver. Sent my proposal. Three days later: signed. The pitch wasn't the work I've done.
