For 3 years I built SaaS products, chasing idea after idea. I was good at it. I just wasn't happy. It took me embarrassingly long to figure out why. I realized that the one part I never wanted to stop doing was the design. Clean and minimal UI The kind of simple that's deceptively hard to get right, but when done well looks incredibly premium. I'd lose hours saving beautiful things on pinterest, then turn them into something unique and original. That was the part of building that gave me true fulfillment. That was never the side quest. It was the whole thing. So I stopped chasing ideas. I'm now building a product design studio for AI and B2B SaaS. Beautiful, clean design that I ship as real code, never handed off and watered down. From zero. In public. I call it Shipform. Follow me on my journey 😀

@thsottiaux @egorkabantsov i’d use it to build and open source a complete design-to-production pipeline: agent takes a screenshot of any landing page, rebuilds it in next + tailwind, deploys it. all prompts and fails documented

I have a new kind of big button that I can press for Codex. Over the next 100 days, we will select one person per day who does impressive or incredibly useful work with Codex and give them 10X usage limits for a month to see what they can do with it. First one tomorrow.

@diegozaks actually shipping and demonstrating real impact’ in a director jd is rare. most design leadership roles drift into deck-making the moment they get the title. respect

Design at Ramp looks very different than it did a year ago but a few core things have not changed; the role of design is to distill problems to their essence, obsess over craft and delight where it matters most, know customers deeply and advocate for them, lead with creativity and storytelling, and keep it fun, because a product built with joy always wins. I'm looking for a Director of Product Design to lead some of our highest-priority bets. This role is for you if you’re excited by: Leading through craft, setting vision and unlocking customer impact: you will define where a product should go, then jump into the details with the team to unblock, teach, and ship. You raise the bar through product judgment, design craft, and your ability to make everyone around you better. Actually shipping and demonstrating real impact: You'll start by owning a product area and team to build trust and get your bearings at Ramp, with room to take on broader leadership over time. You'll stay close to customers and ship meaningful work alongside your designers, product managers and engineers. Building the environment where great work comes from: clear roles, high standards, low ego, and just enough structure to keep the bar high without slowing people down. That means building a caring yet demanding structure, investing deeply in people — coaching, feedback, growth — so designers can do the best work of their careers and develop in this new age of Design. It’s never been a more interesting time to build. Link below.

3 years ago, @paulg told me not to build a startup. I had just started YC, had my son 2 weeks prior, and was trying to make it work in every way I could. Just 9 months after an unexpected pregnancy, 1 year after quitting my job. I asked him “What are your thoughts on building a family and a startup at the same time?” his candid response “Don’t do it” Well 3 years later it’s crazy to think that last month we surpassed our 2025 revenue, and this week we essentially doubled it. I saw my dad experience the boom bust on the dot com infrastructure build out at an early stage startup, tens of millions raised, little to show for it. Just stress and illness. I made a decision not to make the same mistake. We’re on pace to do a 100M this year, with only 2M raised, and 12 incredible teammates. Personally I’m here to secure my family’s future and ensure infrastructure and intelligence are not concentrated to a select few, paving a way for a future for my son and upcoming daughter that looks more like heaven than hell. Generally, I shy from these posts, but we need our story told and credit where it is due, and we’ve been boosted by incredible people and partners like my wife, @Cholical , our team, @nvidia , @nebiusai , @digitalocean, and more - and this market needs to know why we’re here and who we’re building for.

@amiklas @garrytan sure, but the training set has no labels. nobody agrees what good design is, the ground truth shifts every 18 months, and context changes the answer. taste is judgment under ambiguity, that’s the hard part

The current line is “AI can replace execution, but not taste.” But taste is just compressed judgment from lots of exposure: see enough examples, classify enough good vs bad, and you develop instinct. That is not a moat against AI. That is a training set.

Notion makes me so sad. Amazing team and used to be a brittle but great product. They never fixed the basic bugs, piled a decade of tech debt into it, and shoved unnecessary AI slop down everyone’s throat. Practically unusable on mobile and extremely slow. Churning after 9 yrs

everyone's sleeping on how absurdly good 2026 is to start a company (even compared to 2024) one person can now: - ship full apps without engineers (cursor, replit) - design without being a designer (v0, Claude Design) - turn one video into 10 clips (opus, descript) - push those clips to millions (X, Linkedin, TikTok) - replace a support team (chatbase, intercom) - literally watch exactly what their users do (Posthog) - find + target perfect leads on autopilot (origami) This is such a rare window. I just can’t imagine it being this easy ever again

@dakshpixelup Saying no to misaligned work is a skill. The wrong project costs more than time, it drains the energy you need for the right ones.

said no to a big project recently brief was clear, budget was there the work wouldve been fine, but they wanted us to just execute mindlessly. They had a clear vision of what they wanted but they were not looking for our advice. They wanted to handhold. that's the problem, if we don't enjoy the work we do, then there's no point in doing it. we have limited bandwidth, need to make the best out of it.
