@jacornjo @LiveAction Well then, it’s a good thing that removing the body of a baby in the womb that’s already since passed away or an ectopic pregnancy wouldn’t be morally and ethically considered an abortion and thus can be medically treated to save the life of the mother in such cases.

Miscarriage management is NOT abortion. Pro-lifers are against intentionally killing a preborn baby. It is always ok to remove the remains of an already deceased baby. There is a clear moral distinction. That's why miscarriage management is legal in pro-life states.

As a woman, I am deeply horrified. Tennessee Republicans are so “pro-life” that they proposed a bill that would allow the death penalty for women who have an abortion. Let that sink in. The death penalty. For a medical decision. This is beyond extreme. It’s not about protecting life... it’s about controlling women’s bodies through fear and punishment. Calling this “pro-life” while threatening women with execution is not just hypocritical, it’s inhumane. Leave women alone.

Once abortion becomes codified into law as murder, women who seek to murder their babies by abortion should be judged by a jury of their peers and sentenced for their crimes. No one can or should separate God’s justice and biblical penalty from the laws of the land.

Just so we are all on the same page: A miscarriage is a heartbreaking loss. An abortion is an intentional act to kill a baby. These are not the same things.

@jacornjo @StudentsforLife Maternal mortality didn’t just rise in one state…it rose nationally during the COVID years, peaking in 2021 before falling again in 2022 (CDC data). That means increases in a single state during that period doesn’t automatically prove a specific policy caused the change.

@nickimoraa In the Medical Field heathcare is defined as a system in which the body is healed and life is preserved. Neither of which is true of abortion which is the eradication of human life from the womb. Only an idiot thinks it is healthcare except when saving the life of the mother.

Another thing that people actually forget is that abortion is medical care. You may personally oppose it, but your religious convictions do not define public policy or other people’s lives. Christianity is not a universal standard, it’s a belief system that people choose to follow, and even within Christianity there are countless interpretations and disagreements. It is subjective. In a pluralistic society, healthcare cannot be dictated by one group’s theology. Your faith guides you. It does not govern everyone else.
