@msediewyatt Thank you. No one is trying to diminish your work. Readers were asked to amplify the fact that the Riddell District Football Netball League (RDFNL) had successfully invoked section 42 in spite of all the pressure and disinformation. I hope you agree that was worth amplifying.

Not that anyone wants to read what women with politics degrees and years of research write about the law in Australia in regard to single sex provision and what the Lesbians of Australia have done to shake things up. Female athletes in Australia please note: Your club can invoke Section 42 of the Sex Discrimination Act. It is clear. It works. You can assert your rights: “Section 42 of the Sex Discrimination Act permits sporting organisations to exclude persons of one sex from participation in a competitive sporting activity where the strength, stamina, or physique of competitors is relevant.” Activists such as Equality Australia - and the Australian Human Rights Commission - are keeping this provision of a federal statute a dark secret. They have said nothing about the court case in which it proved decisive. Worse still, Australian clubs are still being pressured to accept men and boys in female sports. But any club that wants to can counter this pressure by invoking Section 42. Please share widely - especially with female athletes in Australia!

The @BBC presents a biased view of the vulnerability of trans-identifying people. This is in no one’s interest: - It does not promote the cause of trans-identifying people, making them unnecessarily anxious; and - It is helping to undermine the public’s confidence in the BBC.

@Housey101 Maybe that is part of the reason most female athletes assumed there was nothing to be done.

@BevJacksonAuth How exactly does this function when to my knowledge Australia permits people to change their sex on basically all documents (birth certificates/passports/driving license)? And didn't the Tickle v Giggle Judge come to the staggering conclusion people can change their sex?

Genuinely think the Green Party should write a formal complaint to Sky News about Trevor Philip's interview of Zack Polanski today. Not even the pretence of reporting and good faith questioning.

@BanGaoRen Good luck with that. We need far more journalists with the integrity of Trevor Phillips and his willingness to ask difficult questions to Polanski - given the extreme threat that he and his party pose to the fabric of the UK.

The Trevor Philips show and all the guests bar one has just convinced me to vote Green. They are treating Polanski appallingly. He is definitely getting the Corbyn treatment and it's disgraceful. Vote Green.

@BevJacksonAuth @socksknitter @BBC Unpopular take. If you remove Brianna Ghey from the equation (and that coverage was mostly about age) then any bias is less obvious. We all know it because they can’t report anything without getting a TIM to transplain, but the victim/perp coverage is almost balanced.

Here is an article describing the deliberate policy of the Australian Human Rights Commission to ignore this provision of a federal statute - and to refuse to inform the public.

With Athena, we work across the political spectrum and engage with decision-makers in all parties. But many of us come from green, leftist and liberal traditions that have become increasingly unrecognisable to us.

What was wonderful was watching the judge watching this. It wasn't long after that I was found not guilty.

I wrote about the trials and tribulations of Barry Neufeld, who believes - as so many of us do - that small children should not be taught they might be the opposite sex. And that the “transitioning” of children is a form of child abuse. But Barry expressed this opinion in 2017 - before it became common currency in the UK and started to be voiced occasionally even in Canada. And he expressed it in British Columbia, one of the most hostile places in the world for free speech and gender critical views. I wrote about the long years of persecution that followed.
