Even as a cynic, this is surprising. You'd think that a guy in the last days of his presidency (and probably his life) would have chosen to do the right thing. Especially after all the insults and ridicule he's endured from Netanyahu and all the global pushback. But no, he chooses cement the Gaza genocide as his legacy to the bitter end. This goes to show that the "this is all the doing of the Israel lobby" theory is way too simplistic. For some reason Biden was obviously a true committed believer: he genuinely didn't care about Palestinian lives. If he'd been forced into doing this out of electoral consideration, he'd have shown a human side at this stage. Now we can be 100% certain he had none.
