+1 to this. tech culture is definitely a part of bay culture, a huge part of it. but reducing the sf bay area to just tech does a disservice to one of the most culturally rich places in the world.

SF is home to the gold rush, the first major Chinese American communtiy, the hippie counterculture movement, the Black Panthers, and a distinct hip-hop scene composed of a young Tupac, Too Short, E-40, Mac Dre, Souls of Mischief, and others. There are like 5 major cultural movements stuffed into those 46.9 square miles.

2 weeks into to the alpha: 700 users all thru reddit posts, discord, and wom 30% 7d retention 30 min. avg session length 2% monetization rate (we will get this up 💯) nothing crazy but def proud. been building consumer products at meta and pinterest since i graduated college but boy it’s a lot more fun when it’s a product you built consumer is def the path less traveled but if you enjoy tight user feedback loops, constant iteration and shipping shit constantly, it’s honestly fun asl build in public type shii
