@AP4Liberty I believe @LPNational could benefit from a stronger dress code at convention. After the infiltration of the last few years and the strong move to reset from that, I’m positive that this wasn’t the year to make khakis the hill to die on.

A Republican libertarian in New Hampshire tried to save the Libertarian Party from total humiliation. His proposal? Wear shoes. Wear pants. Maybe don’t show up to a political convention in a thong. The reaction perfectly exposed why the LP keeps losing while the rest of the political world moves on without them.

Statement on the Disaffiliation of LPNH “The resolution to disaffiliate the Libertarian party of New Hampshire was the unfortunate culmination of years of behavior in violation of the Libertarian Party’s platform,” said new LNC Chair Evan McMahon. “These violations reached an impasse, and the previous Libertarian National Committee was unable to reach an armistice with the LPNH. One of my top priorities coming into office was to make it clear that the LNC will adhere to the platform and determine who we will associate with based on those grounds.” Language from the Motion to Disaffiliate LPNH The bylaws are clear that affiliate Parties shall not endorse the candidate of another Party. Despite this, the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire openly and publicly endorsed President Trump during the election in 2024. Furthermore, they have crudely and repeatedly undermined our own candidates and have espoused numerous anti-libertarian positions on a National level. Be it Resolved that because of these reasons and more, the Libertarian National Committee moves to disaffiliate the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire, mandating that they cease and desist the use of the Party name and logo, until such a time as the LNC recognizes a new affiliate in New Hampshire that shares our Party’s foundational values.

@ToddHagopian @LPNH Disaffiliation is not taken lightly. In the case of LPNH, it was absolutely the appropriate move. Between the newly elected leadership and their swift move to rid the party of a vocal and repugnant arm, I fully expect to see both memberships and donations rise again quickly.

I have sparred with the @LPNH plenty, including this weekend. But, I’m completely against disaffiliation I voted for it once, administratively, after LPNM had disaffiliated themselves In general, I disagree with kicking minority voices out just because you disagree with them

@wearemaxlib @LPNational @LPNH @LPMisesCaucus Disaffiliation of the LPNH was the right move. They’ve said and done horrible, repugnant things which have harmed the party across the country. Sending the message loud and clear that they do not represent the LP or its ideals is important. The LP begins healing now.

Here is a radical idea, why doesn’t the new @LPNational sit down behind closed doors or streamed live without a peanut gallery and ask @LPNH & @LPMisesCaucus what is the best route for everyone to work together?

As expected, MLB was going to wait for Pete Rose to pass away before reinstating him, so he would not get to experience the satisfaction of being inducted into the Hall.

Pete Rose deserved the honor of seeing himself inducted into the Hall of Fame. Waiting until he passed away was predicted for decades and is as disgusting now as it was when it was first suggested.
