Of course Mary was blessed. She was chosen as the mother of Jesus. Even was called the "mother of all living" by Adam when he named her. Should she get a special seat in Heaven? How about Sarah, Abraham's wife? She was called "mother of nations". The point is that we can't take the positive descriptors of biblical characters and turn them into reasons for thinking these people have a special place in Heaven or are spiritual figures we should be trying to communicate with in Heaven.
