Injured during the genocide, she now struggles to walk and depends on her elderly mother to care for her and push her through their camp in a breaking wheelchair. The pushing, the waiting, the uncertainty of leaving empty-handed - all while dealing with an injury that changed his life. This is why The Sameer Project opened a bakery in North Gaza: to create dignified bread distributions inside the camps themselves, so families do not have to risk their safety, strength, or mental and emotional health just to eat. On April 24, the bakery produced 2,830 loaves of bread - 283 bundles distributed to displaced families across the camps. On this day, the bakery cost totaled $742 after 11% banking fees, with each bundle costing you through your donations not even $3 to produce. This included flour, oil, yeast, sugar, salt, packaging, rent, electricity, and workers’ wages that keep the bakery operating every single day. “Go inside, he will kill you” A 14-year-old Palestinian student, Aws al-Naasan, was shot in the head and killed outside his school in al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, after an Israeli reservist took position on a nearby hillside and opened fire toward the school. The Guardian reports testimonies from teachers and students describing scenes of terror, with children hiding in stairwells as staff rushed to secure the building. Teachers shouted warnings “go inside, he will kill you”, as gunfire rang out. Aws collapsed instantly, and his classmates carried his bleeding body along the school wall, leaving a trail of blood, but he died before reaching medical care. Minutes later, the same attacker shot and killed 36-year-old Jihad Abu Naim, whose wife is pregnant with their first child. The killings unfolded amid a surge in Israeli settler violence targeting schools and students across the occupied West Bank. Residents say al-Mughayyir has long been subjected to repeated attacks, with Aws already having lost his father in a previous settler shooting. After the latest killings, classes were suspended as families weighed sending children back to school against fears for their lives. “We want to go back, but our families are afraid,” one student said.

Laid-off TPUSA employees say workers need stronger protections. Conservatism is the rejection of empathy for others. Once an issue affects them personally, they adopt the progressive position.
