🇨🇳 China just switched on the world's largest offshore solar farm
2.3 million solar panels. 2,934 steel platforms. 11,736 piles driven into the ocean floor. Built to survive force-11 gales and sea ice.
It sits 5 miles off the coast and powers 2.67 million people.
Oh, and they're also farming fish underneath it 😳

@blaiklockBP I complained to my daughter’s school about mandatory halal meat and how it was illegal. To my amazement it was addressed immediately and the menus were changed. I was even told indirectly by a policeman parent it was not illegal. Damn there are some stupid around these days.

Below you will find my 4th email to this headmistress, who thinks she is above the law. She thinks I have a team and a complaints service - public sector thinking. I have always addressed her politely and formally.
Since her school has had 56 days to reply to the FOI, I do not need to legally give her any more time. I did so as a matter of courtesy, as I wanted to check that she had received the previous emails.
This is what she wrote back - I wonder who is being rude and threatening.
'Thank you for your email.
As I’m sure you can appreciate, headteachers are extremely busy and have a very demanding role.
Rude and threatening emails to anyone in my school or staff will not be tolerated.
Please refer me to your manager and complaints service.'

Two 18-year-old students from Pennsylvania have developed an innovative, low-cost exhaust filter that turns harmful vehicle emissions into oxygen using microalgae.
Rohan Kapoor and Jack Reichert created the Go Green Filter, a compact device that easily attaches to a car’s tailpipe. The filter uses living microalgae to capture carbon dioxide and other pollutants, releasing clean oxygen in their place.
Inspired by research from an MIT professor, the pair spent nearly a year perfecting their prototype. According to Chester County Press, the device costs only about $50 to produce and has demonstrated a remarkable 74% reduction in emissions during testing.
The teenagers estimate that if their filter were installed on all vehicles worldwide, it could potentially cut global carbon emissions by more than 16%.
A simple yet powerful idea that proves young innovators can make a real impact on the climate crisis.

The marches in London today will frighten many, but we must fight for the spirit of Britain, writes Sir Keir Starmer lbc.co.uk/article/keir-s…

-While walking home from a soccer match with his friends a white British young man is accosted by a Sikh immigrant. British young man starts recording with his phone.
-Sikh immigrant then stabs him four times with an 8 inch knife. He seeks no medical help for the British young man, but instead steals his phone and puts it in his pocket (the phone that contains the evidence of what happened).
-Sikh immigrant’s mother (also an immigrant) arrives on the scene and hides the murder weapon.
-Police arrive and the Sikh immigrant lies and says he was called a racist name and his turban was knocked off (video from the phone proves both of these claims were lies, though neither justifies stabbing someone).
-Police proceed to handcuff the white British boy as he bleeds out.
So the summary is because the Sikh immigrant lied and said he was called a racist name, the British police handcuffed and detained the dying victim.
What can you conclude from this but that the UK is not a safe place for white people?
This is the same UK that protested over the death of George Floyd. Yet do you see anyone in the streets over what the police did to this young man?

🇬🇧 Henry Nowak, 18, "drowned in his own blood" as he lay cuffed and passed out on the street. He was stabbed multiple times by Vikrum Digwa, 23, with an 8-inch Sikh ceremonial knife. When the police arrived, Nowak was arrested instead, after Digwa accused him of racial abuse.

@Keir_Starmer What a deluded fool. The country does not belong to some who are here.

Today the voices of division will be loud.
They don't speak for the country I know, one that belongs to all of us.
That's our Britain. A Britain worth fighting for.
