Rodney Charles Hill recorded a racist rap song targeting @infowars writer Jamie White for being white and bragging about killing him, with lyrics like “White Boy Came Outside / Hit His Damn A– with a 9.” Yet somehow, the prosecution convinced the family to accept a plea deal—for a murder. Families shouldn’t have to feel pressured into making deals with murderers just to get any semblance of justice. Jamie’s family was backed into a corner by soft-on-crime policies (@JosePGarza) and crooked judges making them feel that if the case went to trial, they almost certainly wouldn’t get 20 years. If that wasn’t outrageous enough, I just found out the two 15-year-olds involved are already out—time served, plus probation. A literal slap on the wrist for taking a life. Pathetic.
