海外の兄弟達に聞きたいのですけど…。 海賊版の話で、逆に海賊版ではない日本のアニメを真面目に見てる人っているの？（と、疑いたくなってきた） まともな方法で見てる人は、その方法も教えて欲しい。 Netflixとか、Amazonとか、それともDVDとかなのかな。

@jonnygamerjp @YD20250410 I just bought a few mangas on my recent Japan trip. Unfortunately i could only fit a few in my luggage. Perhaps people dont want to spend thousands of hours learning a language and thousands of dollars to come there and buy them.

No obligues a los trabajadores artísticos de otros países a sacrificarse por tus deseos.

I stopped caring about this, so much so rhat i started selling off my collection. Toys, books, whatever. Just have no love anymore

I was at Disney when the Land launched. In fact, I personally wrote a lot of the copy for the Star Wars Land rides and the Star Wars hotel in the marketing materials and for the website. When I say there was crushing disappointment, almost a feeling of betrayal that the whole thing was on the new IP and not the original IP, I am not exaggerating. Disney made the decision to invest this money in order to support the new trilogy, which they thought would erase the old one in the minds of fans. The level of hubris around this is one for the business industry history books. Bob Chapek, who was head of Parks at the time (since fired in disgrace), was in charge of greenlighting all creative in Star Wars Land. He killed things like a lifesize Bantha ride where guests would ride around the land on top of a Bantha. He killed the live show at the cantina. And most importantly, he gave the land its own lame subplot where you had to use your phone to scan kiosks and get some code messages deciphered so you were "part of the Resistance," but it had no payoff. Then reality struck: they made a trilogy that destroyed the OG characters. They elevated an insufferably annoying mary sue girl boss, added a pathetic loser son of Han, a divorced Leia and Han, a disillusioned and bitter Luke, and then killed Luke, Han, and Leia. Result: JJ Abrams' career was finished as a filmmaker. Rian Johnson was wrecked. Kathleen Kennedy is finally out as head of Lucas. Chapek out. Disney movies are garbage. The greatest entertainment IP ever created was lit on fire to appease the egos of the geniuses who bought it and thought they could outdo the original genius. And now it's too late. No one cares that Darth will be walking around again to John Williams score. The new Leia face character looks like Brenda from HR. By the way, Tomorrowland already HAD Stormtrooper) (the original ones, not the new fat ones_, Jedis, and Darth in a wonderful live show for years. My kids all took part in light saber battles against Darth Vader many times. It was hilarious and thrilling. Killed in favor of the new slop. Absolutely over.

@indexnforgetit Apparently car batteries are not cheap anymore. Mine was like almost $300. Would never pay labor for it, but dont think youre getting away with $150 anymore. Not on a more modern car.

My boomer take is things like this are expensive because men like this won't take 15 minutes to install their own $150 battery

@it_unprofession I just dont go anywhere anymore that does this. Sucks but im not going to be bullied into giving a tip to someone that does nothing and was never tipped before. So try to make me feel uncomfortable, i will no longer shop at your store.

I just tipped 20% on a bottle of water I grabbed out of a mini-fridge myself. I brought it to the counter. The cashier didn't even scan it. He just pushed a button and spun the POS terminal around. The screen suggested 20, 25, or 30 percent. For a moment, I considered finding the custom tip option. But there was a line of people behind me. The cashier was making direct, unblinking eye contact. I folded under the pressure of a digitized guilt trip. I paid $4.80 for a Poland Spring. I basically gave a teenager a dollar to legally supervise me purchasing hydration. He didn't even offer a receipt. He just spun the tablet back around and looked away. I said thank you. I thanked him for letting me give him extra money. I am part of the problem.

@Rongchang @YD20250410 Like buying a 40 year nintendo game. I really want to play Little Samson. No way of purchasing a new copy. Ebay has it for $2,500. Even so who would benefit from me buying the real cartridge? So ill just download the rom. I have no moral dilemma with that.

@YD20250410 My claim is that if you werent selling it in America not translating it into English, then i didnt actually steal anything from you because i pirated it and had it translated. There was no avenue for me to pay for your work so there was no money stolen.

@Rongchang @YD20250410 And i dont agree with that. There are levels to this argument. 1. The work is old and out of print. 2. The work is current but unavailable to me cause of language/access. 3. The work is too expensive. 4. The translation sucks. Ill justify 1 and 2. No more.

@YD20250410 Who is mocking anyone? You are making the “reductio ad absurdum” argument about 7k languages. When in reality the arguments are over English/Russian/Spanish, extremely popular ones and very easy to translate with todays tech. And ill read whatever i damn well please.

@tsukaniki85 Japan just has a way different corporate culture than America, or anywhere else. The ceo of nintendo took a 50% pay cut after the wii u failure to prevent layoffs. That would NEVER happen in America. So you guys just have a better idea of working together.

@gorushi6525 @aoshiroyama Not exactly true. I have many bootleg vhs tapes of dbz, the. Bought the real dvd set when it came out years later. Can think of another example or 2 about movies i purchased. Also own the entire nes/snes collections on roms but will keep buying the real ones when i can

Я очень смеюсь из-за срачей с японцами за пиратство, потому что они говорят, что авторы теряют прибыль, но…. если я не могу купить продукт, значит на прибыль от меня и не рассчитывают… и если я спирачу продукт, который мне не планировали продавать, о какой прибыли речь?..
