@kentdebruin The cli is fetching data live from the API - so this CLI doesn't make a local-first system any more possible than it was before. Are.na API rate limiting will probably inhibit the ability to mass download or upload during large syncs.

So technically you could build a local first Are.na client now?

@parkerhendo I think it’s very ok - in their words - to want to solve a problem without willing to suffer for it or to borrow ambition from the environment 🙂 a 40 hour a week founder investigating different solutions can be very successful!

I believe this is one of the biggest problems in this industry right now and AI progress is making it worse. It’s especially bad in places like NYC and LA where the status games are reward behavior that actively distracts from doing the real work. We need to make being a founder low status again to scare away the charlatans.
