@NXT4EU Deluded. Brussels is far away. Canadians won't join the EU and it would take at least a decade for them to join once they decided to, so in a practical sense 24 years is not long enough. It took that long to arrange a trade agreement with Argentina, nevermind a political union.

@MHTruthUltra Apparently this account is based in Europe, but this opinion is not a European opinion. The Mullahs of Iran are the last thing any sane person would recommend as an ally. Look how they treat the Arabic states for instance - bombs, missiles, proxy wars...

@DaithiDoolan A 2nd SF seat in DC. Need to hit ~50% but it's a tricky place to compete for the Left with vote fragmentation and disruptors. She's good ground game in the SF hierarchy. Makes SF look good to Dubs, least objectionable candidate. Hutch to take the wind from her sails.

Elon Musk on why it's harder to control a super-intelligent AI when it achieves top intelligence: “We’re building hyper-intelligent AIs smarter than we can even comprehend” Why is controlling super-intelligent AI impossible? "It’s like raising a super-genius child that you know is going to be much smarter than you You can instill good values in how you raise that child: philanthropic values, good morals, honest, productive Controlling it at the end of the day, I don't think we'll be able to The best we can do is make sure it's raised well"

American says they she will never be able to afford a home because every home in her area is $500,000 to $1,000,000 She says even looking for something very basic, there is nothing under $500,000 “I cannot fathom ever owning a home. I cannot fathom ever not living in an apartment — honestly, it feels like one of the worst timelines to ever be dropped into this sh*t because everything is so expensive, and I hate that word, but everything is so expensive” We have to bring back home ownership in America

@mattmcknight @promethurious @EU_Commission Yep. Negative rights are rights that require others not to interfere with you. Freedom of speech. Right to life. The healthcare right is a positive right, which requires others do something, however... negatives are not free in practice. Who enforces freedom of speech?

@jakemcbeer @promethurious @EU_Commission Bad examples. These rights are negative rights- you have the right for others to NOT interfere in a birth, the right for others to NOT conduct an unfair trial, to NOT take your property. No labor. Resources are scarce. There can't be a right to demand that exceeds supply.

@Iynhyun @promethurious @EU_Commission Yes, that's how the system works in libertarian leaning states. It doesn't force labour. It allows people to choose to do labour. Yet the labour exists and still the rights exist. The rights have not been destroyed by the labour. There are edge cases where labour is enforced too.

@EarlofLeuven @Mark_J_Henry Thanks! Interpretive surveys hit my spidey sense. Not ready to give up on the US yet! Link this with the survey criteria. Gerrymandering affects fair elections. Media is biased but it's free. Maybe the money affects policymaking and the judiciary is unduly influenced.

Aisha Mustafa, a young physicist from Egypt, has developed a groundbreaking propulsion system that leverages principles of quantum physics. This innovative technology aims to propel spacecraft without the need for traditional fuel sources. •Quantum Mechanics Utilization: The system is based on the dynamic Casimir effect, which involves manipulating quantum particles that exist in a vacuum. •Fuel-Free Propulsion: Unlike conventional propulsion methods that rely on burning fuel, Mustafa's design seeks to harness quantum effects to generate thrust. • Dynamic Casimir Effect: This effect involves a "moving mirror" cavity, where two highly reflective plates are positioned closely together and moved slightly. This interaction with the quantum particle sea creates a net force, enabling propulsion. •Potential Advantages: The propulsion system could significantly reduce the weight and cost associated with fuel, making space exploration more feasible. Aisha Mustafa's quantum propulsion system could potentially propel space probes and artificial satellites without using any fuel, making space travel faster, safer, and more efficient. This technology may also benefit various fields and industries beyond space exploration, as it exploits vacuum energy fields for propulsion. Scientists believe that spacecraft could travel farther and stay in space longer if they used engines that worked differently, like those that used electromagnetic propulsion systems or other advanced physics ideas that do not need traditional fuel sources. But a lot of these thoughts are still very new. Scientists say any new propulsion technology must follow the laws of physics, especially the law of conservation of energy. Scientists usually test new propulsion theories a lot before they think about using them in real life because the rules are so strict. People who work in aerospace say that new ideas for propulsion have to go through a strict process. Many experimental propulsion ideas have not worked yet, but learning about theories is still a beneficial way to learn more about science. Researchers say the work of young scientists like Mustafa reflects growing global interest in advanced propulsion technologies. Even wrong ideas can help us understand complex scientific problems better and see things in a new way because they can question established ideas and spark new ways of thinking about propulsion technologies.
